Kentland finally has a bubble tea shop! Went on the second day of soft opening and I have to give props to them for killing it. They had like 8 employees working over each other in their tiny kitchen and they belted out cup after cup at a very reasonable time.
Service was friendly and helpful. Ambience is modern and edgy.
As for the drinks themselves, it's like any other bubble tea shop. They have the option to choose your sweetness and ice levels and most menu items can be found at any other shops. I got their milk foam black tea and it was pretty average; it wasn't as sweet even though I had 100% sugar. BF got the lychee oolong tea and I liked how they had whole pieces of lychee in it. Overall no complaints on the drinks but not completely wowed either.
I believe BobaPop will be successful as they are the only bubble tea shop in the area and they make decents drinks. I don't think I'll go out of my way to just get it, but if ever in the area, it's a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came across BoBaPop Tea Bar waiting to go to the Elite Yogurt Tasting pickup and I am glad I did. The menu was different and interesting -- I tried the Korean Banana Milk with coconut cream and tapioca pearls. I loved all the toppings that they have available...it makes your boba that much more custom and exactly how you want it. I originally ordered the brown sugar tapioca pearls, and since they are more jelly like than normal pearls they came out and asked if I would like to sample them to make sure I wanted them. I really appreciated that because I ended just getting regular tapioca pearls. The Korean Banana Milk was AH-MAZ-ING!! I loved it and would go back just for that! The only thing that turned me off was having to wait outside (it was super hot that day) while it was being made. But I did appreciate the number sign out front which kept things easy! Overall, the area was a cute posh town with delicious milk tea! Stop by for something different...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is officially the Starbucks of bubble tea!!! I'm a bubble tea connoisseur and I've never been to a place where there are so many option and customizations to anything on the menu. I really like the functuay and the music selection, it makes me feel like I'm in a happy place (well duh oh course, I'm getting bubble tea ). The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, they'll let you sample things and walk you through the entire process. I've been here three times in four days (am I hooked ). I met the owner and he was a very friendly and down to earth kind of guy, which is a good reflection of his business and his staff. So far I've had winter melon (which is a foamy/frothy kind of tea), kiwi tea, mango slush tea, and Thai milk tea. I've also tried the white pearl (white bubbles) and brown sugar pearl (brown bubbles) which were different but tasty. I highly recommend this place for veterans and...
