I came here for lunch for the first time with a friend. We walked in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and saw that it was decently packed, with a couple of tables open. Most of the diners seemed to be larger groups with their families and kids. We weren't greeted upon coming in and noticed that it was one of those restaurants where you place your order at the counter, and then find your seat.

My friend ordered one of their tacos with a side of beans, and I ordered the Aha Baja with a side of french fries. There's a bar and countertop on the side of the restaurant where you can pick up utensils and napkins.

We waited about 10-15 minutes for the tacos, and there was a minor mistake with my order- there were two bowls of rice instead of french fries. I let the server, who also happened to be the cashier know that there was a mistake with my order, but her answer was that I ordered rice instead of the french fries. Another older employee who was around came by and resolved the situation professionally instead of trying to push the blame on myself. The experience with the one cashier/server left a sour taste in my mouth, but I tried my best to enjoy the meal.

Being a fish taco afficionado and having tried multiple fish tacos from different cities around the country, I've had my fair share of good and bad ones. The Aha Baja fish tacos from Sin & Grin were probably on the average or below average side of the scale, but definitely not worth almost $12 for 2 tacos ($6 each). I was full for the meal, but did not see the value from the tacos, they should have been $12 for 3 after tasting the quality of the fish and ingredients. The fish was fried, but the oil was not drained properly, leaving it soft and broken instead of crispy in the bottom of the tortilla. The sauce with the tacos was good, however I noticed that there was no cilantro in the taco, despite it being on the menu.

I would like to come back again to try other items on the menu another time and give this place another chance, since it's a local...

Y'all let me tell you about the BEST family owned restaurant that will bless your tummy every single time called Sin & Grin. Sin & Grin don't know this but I would thank them so much for helping me breathe again and remembering to SMILE again. You see, I lost all of my BestFriend's. My last bestfriend passed this January. Then I had to walk away from a toxic relationship with my fiancé of 4 1/2 years. Whew, chile this has broken my heart/spirit oh so much. I've already had a BIG OLE MERCY!!

I was told by one of your waitresses you have the BEST FOOD!! OHMYGOODNESS!! She was soooo right. I'm always unsure of a new place BUT y'all you have to run, jog, fly, hike, drive, rollerblade, skate whatever you need to do to go visit this amazing spot. I have already been there two days in a row and my food has been-superior. Now let me tell you about the OUTSTANDING staff I've met so far, Yianni, Julia, Leah, Logan & Mr. Bill, when I tell you how amazing they ALL are, and how they ALL have made my two days brighter. They ALL are the sweetest family ever!! They make you feel right at home. They remembered who you are the first time visiting, what you like (me, in which is everything) and have a genuine Big Heart. I'm so thankful to have met such a wonderful, caring sweet staff. Sin & Grin I'll see you ALL real soon. Thank you again and Bless you ALL !!

Sin & Grin is a restaurant that serves food inspired by multiple flares - Latin, Mexican, and Greek. It is located in the heart of Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg, with ample parking nearby. They specialize in Rotisserie Meats, Tacos, and Salads.

My friend ordered the Steak Taco, which consisted of two tacos loaded with steak, pepper-onion rojas, and salsa verde and a side of your choice (rice, beans, fries, or salad). He liked how the tortillas were made fresh to order and how flavorful the tacos were.

I ordered a Grilled Salmon Rocket Salad, which consisted of organic baby arugula, tomatoes, capers, cojita cheese (instead of feta cheese), cucumber, and house croutons served with garlic infused extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette. It was healthy, hearty, and delicious.

On my second visit, I ordered a Shrimp Espinaca, which consisted of sauteed shrimp with onions, spinach, tomatoes, garlic, wine, olives, and cheese. It was quite flavorful. Next time, I may get it over rice when I'm not on a...

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had a moment to stop by. The vibe is cozy, neighborhood friendly, warm, and enjoyable. The staff are very nice, accommodating, and truly care. My fish tacos, however, were unoriginal and quite bland. Granted the tacos had the obligatory white sauce with some queso fresco and a flour tortilla, but they lacked anything to provide a memorable flavor profile. Even the rice and beans were extraordinarily forgettable. If you are looking for the vibes - check out this place. If you are looking for some yummy Mexican food - try somewhere else. I’ll come back again and give them a second chance, but I felt very MEH about my introduction to this Kentlands spot.
