Panera Bread — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

Overall definitely an awesome fast meal, that's also healthy and their menu speaks to the entire family. Plus, we've always had great service. I would give it a 5 Star rating.. because the food is usually really healthy and also awesome tasting, the environment very cozy, but because they are so popular, they tend to run out of some items fairly quickly and early, so that by dinnertime their big variety of bread options for sandwiches, is suddenly limited to a few albeit good options. And when their napa chicken salad becomes scarce, they'll give you a small portion made to look more by adding too much salad. However, they try to make up for with fast and friendly service. As for their panini sandwiches, we only ordered them once, because by the time we got home, a 2 min drive, they were absolutely mushed, cold and gross.... but they immediately responded to my complaint by phone and replaced them with something of my choice for free. Usually a pleasant experience. Today I had asked for my sandwich to be heated up as the chicken had frost on it when I received it and received very dirty looks from the staff when I asked them to remake it. When I received it a second time it was somehow colder than the first time which was even more confusing as I asked for it to be heated and I was told well the chicken is cold so it probably made the sandwich cold. At that point the staff said “well, what do you want me to do about it” in a very condescending tone. Again, I only asked for the sandwich to be heated up as it was ice cold. At this point the manager came out and said well the sandwich can’t be that cold as it sits out at room temp which wasn’t the issue, I just wanted my sandwich warmed up!!! I then just opted for a refund and I overheard the staff asking if they can resell the sandwich I had touched…

Came to Panera a weekish later at breakfast and the food gave my girlfriend food poisoning…...

NO STARS if I could!! I know many people like panera bread but I have just had an awful experience at the Panera bread in The Kentlands of Gaithersburg, MD on a Sunday of all days. I asked for lentil quinoa bowl vegan. The server even asked me did I want chicken or beef and I said know vegan. When I got home there was chicken in the bowl. I went back and asked them to correct my order. The server looked at the cashier like i was an irratant and after making another bowl Just threw my spoon at the bag forcefully and missed the bag and the spoon fell to the floor. After I saw this I told them to refund my money and I left. I have never had an experience like this at any other Panera. Surely the server needs further customer service Training....
