KFC — Restaurant in Galesburg

Just a few weeks ago my wife and I had a horrible experience at the Galesburg KFC when the drive through worker spelt soda all over my wife (drivers seat) and didn't even notice. I was just coming back from the hospital and having some painful health issues myself so I didn't notice either. Once we pulled away and I found out I called the store to complain. That only made matters worse and I won't get into it, let's just say it wasn't anything near a pleasant customer service interaction at all (from my perspective at the time.) I ended up hanging up and telling myself everyone has a bad day and mistakes happen. So today I went back and I was reminded why I enjoy their food and service so much! The food was good and the service spot on! The 5 stars is for the food and all the excellent workers they have on staff (even when they make mistakes!) To the supervisor I spoke to that horrible day, I'm sorry. I was in a lot of pain and all I wanted to hear from you was "sorry. We'll work on that not happening again" and in hindsight that was a doomed conversation from the get go. My apologies for putting you in the position of defending your crew, and that you did very well. Mistakes happen, no excuse for bad manners on my part. Wish I'd taken the time to write down your name so I could forward your handling this difficult customer the way that you did. You and your crew do excellent work, you've worked through this pandemic and served your customers well! Just know we, the public, appreciate you...

UPDATE: I HAVE NOW VISITED THIS KFC AT LEAST EIGHT TIMES IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS... And I can say that every single visit has been five stars and I wish I could give them more than five stars. Every time I come the food is out as fast as it any human can possibly deliver it by a cheerful and smiling employee. They seem to have the most well-run fast food restaurant I've ever encountered. Kudos to a great crew and restaurant!!!! I come to Galesburg every week for work and have a 30 minute break. This is the second time of end of the Galesburg KFC... And each time they were blazing fast giving me my food. The second time they were so fast I still had my debit card in the machine and my food was already up! I don't think I've ever seen a fast food restaurant being as fast as this KFC. Kudos to a great team! Y'all definitely have it together and I will be coming here every week for lunch...

Horrible service. The young girl taking my order acted as if I had just punted her dog across the restaurant. No hello. No thank you. Told me the total before I was even done ordering. Left the counter to get my drinks. I turn around and bags of food are on the counter. I’m standing there waiting for one of them to tell me if it’s mine. There were items there I know I didn’t order. After minutes of standing there making awkward eye contact with every employee there I finally ask if this is my food. One replies with well what did you order. So I told them. She had to have the new glasses that came out with X-ray vision because without even looking she says yes that’s it. All of it? I know I didn’t order the two bags of lemonade just chilling there with my food. They acted like I was an idiot for asking. Won’t be back to...
