Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Gallup

I initially went to drive thru and did not get a response, so I parked and went inside to place an order. I placed my order and waited twenty minutes for them to prepare my meal. As I waited, I could see that two of the staff utilized their safeserve training and one person just kept touching her hair, scratching her face, handling everything in the kitchen without ever washing her hands between orders. Now, granted, there was no one in the building waiting for their order. I asked to speak with the manager, but she would not come over to see what I wanted, so I spoke with the person with a suggestion of washing her hands between orders while making food. Maybe a refresher course on safeserve and the importance of wearing gloves while preparing other people food would be appropriate. The same goes for drive thru staff touching door handle that the public touches without ever washing their hands and continuing to handle food for customers. To me, this falls back on poor...

We’ve ate here a few times, the food tastes like normal Popeyes-good-which isn’t something you can assume in Gallup… But the service is on par with Gallup’s norm. Below average. Always check your order around here, it’s more common for it to be incorrect than correct. And not only did they forget the Mac n cheese side, as you can see in the picture once we got it they didn’t even fill the little container halfway 🤷🏻‍♀️

5-13-23 update: Clearly didn’t learn my lesson because we went back… Specifically ordered mashed potatoes no gravy and red bean and rice. This was repeated back to us, and yet we received mashed potatoes with gravy and Cajun fries. We asked for 2 chicken breasts in the family feast meal, there was none. We ordered a dessert it wasn’t there. This was all put incorrectly on the receipt, so whoever took the order isn’t the brightest crayon in the box.

Not going back. Popeyes in Gallup doesn’t understand why they are in business, no teamwork, employees yelling in the back like a bunch of drunks partying, our 8 piece chicken sat on the rack for 20 minutes because the manager who took our order thought we ordered chicken strips. Big orders who ordered behind us got their orders 10 minutes before us. And they only wanted 5 minutes. The manager said she’ll give us 2 more pieces for waiting for nothing and we got home, she didn’t even give us the extra 2 piece and we got mostly wing pieces that had no meat on the bones. The chicken was mostly badder breading. Reading all the reviews, people are also complaining about the chicken is over priced and how the chicken is small with more badder breading than chicken. Thank you for working so hard to rip off the customers without any guilt. Obviously no one cares under that roof. They’re just there to get a paycheck and go home especially...
