Sizzler — Restaurant in Gallup

This place gone way down hill! Here's my 2¢. I took my older brother & lil sister & nephew out to eat here at 2pm. Place wasn't busy just calm mellow. I order rib eye & they did of course. My sister order salad bar on the side too! Paid my bill. Sat down. Sister comes back from lunch bar & I ask her where her soup cup was at?! She reply you ask for it at the counter. So I did I walk up there with my receipt & ask for a bowl for the soup. The attendant like sir I'm sorry that doesn't come with the lunch bar any more! In a mean kind mean way. I reply I wish I known that before I paid for that. & I ask well how much is it for a bowl of soup they reply $6.99! I was again like SMH! Like really?! You guys ought to let your customers know this before you ask them with your fake smile just be honest with them & say something like just to let you know our soup don't come along with the salad etc etc. so I ask well I want my refund for my sister salad! So they said okay & I walk back to the table & gave it back to her & she handed me my refund for salad. I walk back to the table sat down & my brother & sister knew I was upset so they were quiet. Next our food came out & idk just felt weird & my sister felt superstitious like they might of spit in our food or something. I again ask them you want to eat somewhere else or you want to stay here. They said somewhere else & we did. I went back to the counter & said can I have my full refund I'm dissatisfied with everything with service , food! You guys gone downhill charging for every lil thing that just STUPID! They even going to charge you for sharing your meal wth anyone..SMH.I'm trying to show my siblings a good time & just ruin everything.When I told the manager this the cooks walks out and looks & workers in the back were popping in & out of the kitchen area. So that kinda made me think maybe they did do something to our food that we didn't eat because the cooks came out! So my REVIEW DON'T COME HERE! SPEND YOUR HARD EARN MONEY ELSE...

Walking in I had one thing on my mind (sirloin steak with a side of mashed potatoes with any type of veggie) While being attended to and getting my food from the servers (of which I didn’t know by name) came periodically to my table, it felt like I was right at home with my grandmother in New York as she has cooked for me many times before and I found it heart warming. The food was fantastic By the way!! After my meal there was a very nice professional cashier named Alexis, she stood out for many great fabulous qualities such as wearing a mask due to Covid 19 still being a risk and not contaminating people around her plus she was very diligent when working around her other co workers that she seemed more than a cashier, but probably a general manager that not only had her eyes on the quality of the service she was giving me but also on the kitchen making sure that my sirloin steak with the side of mashed potatoes got specifically to me and I am forever grateful!! I don’t get around much when eating out but individuals with an overall healthy attitude of hard work and love for what they do best is what keeps the ship sailing and what keeps sheltered people (such as myself) to come back to such a fine establishment!! Whatever this restaurant is paying her may she be paid...

Ordered a 12 oz NY Strip and Lobster, 6 oz tri tip sirloin with a salad and Mango Lemonade, 2 Smokey Bacon Burgers and a kids Chicken Tenders. Our steaks were over charred which wouldn't have been an issue, but they were not seasoned at all. For the first time in my life I had actually had to use the salt and pepper, as well as the A1 steak sauce that were provided on the table, my lobster was boiled slightly too long so it was kind of rubbery, but I can't complain too much about that (Still tasted like Lobster).

My kids refused to eat their food! My daughter's tenders had no flavor either, the only taste was ketchup because she had to smother it with it. Now don't get me wrong, they did season the food, but they only focused on the bacon in the burgers, they were so incredibly salty that my son had actually spit the bacon back out onto his plate. We must have gone in on the day the chefs cook with their hands tied behind their backs because you HAVE to put in the effort to mess food up that badly. The only saving grace was RJ who was really professional and checked up on us regularly.

The Mango Lemonade and my kids' side order of fries were fairly decent. Sadly we didn't try...
