I ordered my food at 6:15pm then I arrived at 6:27pm, but they didn't have my food ready until 6:50pm!! From 6:27-6:39pm, I watched cars arrive and leave while I still waited, I went inside at 6:40pm and told the counter girl I was waiting for my curbside pick up she said okay and then she never came out until 6:50pm while I was in the lobby & already telling the manager, José, to cancel my order. The counter girl wasn't paying attention & walked by us then went to my car even though I was already in the lobby & already spoke to her previously about my order, but I'm speaking to the manager, because I couldn't cancel the order on the app because my order timed out before they could give me my food. When the counter girl interrupted me talking to José about the situation. She said "The customer isn't in their car or outside. I don't know what to do." I told both of them "yeah I been trying to cancel the order." And they both looked super confused as if I told them a Math joke. José at the Galt location who confirmed that I didn't get my order when he said "This order that came out, just now?" at 6:51pm. I let him know I would like my 6,000 points refunded due to it taking over 30 mins to get my food. He told me he has no control over the app. So I filed a complaint & now my review because they don't care about how unfairly I was treated. Like just because someone decided to do curbside pick up, doesn't mean they should be FORCED to wait 20+ minutes for food. How the owners are able to keep their franchise is one of lifes great mysteries. Look at all the one star reviews and a pattern of truth emerges. The restaurant was dirty from the restrooms to the dining room. There were no less than two homeless people in the dining area. I'm not hating on the homeless I am hating on the fact that one of them was so high he was completely out of it and did not exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling being there with my 6 year old grandchild.
The service was amazingly slow. If being slow was an Olympic sport they would have more gold medals than Michael Phelps. The staff seemed unhappy? I get it, you are working fast food but take some pride in doing your job well. My sister, a very successful banker got her career opportunity while working fast food and impressed one of the customers so much he offered her a job.
Now for the end of an unpleasant experience. The food arrives, my grandchild takes a sip of milk and states it tastes funny. Quick check of the cap shows it was expired for more than a week. Go to the counter where the manager was. She starts to get anoth milk and guess what? Yup, expired. Most of the milk wss expired, but she was persistant in her search and finally found a milk within freshness standards. You can actually stand at at the counter for up to 15 or 20 minutes before they will come and take your order. And for people in a rush.That doesn’t really work. I noticed every time I go in here they try to steer you to using the kiosk to order your food. In my opinion, their kiosk is confusing. I am a truck driver and this McDonald’s has truck parking so I’m kind of stuck going to this particular McDonald’s on my route when I want McDonald’s.
