noticed a new spot and discovered it was a newly relocated truck! spoke with the owner who was dripped in sweat and was discouraged about having to change his new location. A hard working man whos just trying to achieve his dream. Sad to say that on his first day there, I was his 6th customer by the afternoon. Despite all his hardships, he was beaming with pride for being open for 2 years (during COVID) and having the highest rated taco truck in Galveston. And ill be the one to say that his food reflects the ratings and all his hard work. The guy wasnt lying. Tacos were great and the value was good. Inflation is hard on businesses especially during covid but I am glad despite everything this place is still open is a feat of itself. Not as many selections of meat like I am used too back north towards houston, but their limited menu shows that they really make sure every taco is up to par. absolutely 0 complaints here. Galveston has been notorious for having overpriced food all while the being mediocre at best. This place beats both of those odds and im excited to come back. Please dont miss out on this place! its right on broadway next to the cemetery, cant miss it. Perfect place to grab a bite before you hit the beach and after. Support this hard working man and his dreams. Cant wait to come back.

Let me tell you..this is a hidden gem. I was working with about $10 to my name. I googled good and cheap tacos, this was one of the first ones to pop up. Tucked away in a neighborhood, I was pleasantly surprised at how quaint and cute it is. I let the young man know I wanted to eat and drink and I had a little over $10. He told me I could get 3 flour tacos and some good ol agua Fresca (they let me mix flavors too omgggg) for $11!! The water is on point, taste just like fresh fruit and the tacos 🌮…superb!! Now I don’t know if there was a slight language barrier or they had some extra back there but I ended up getting 6 tacos (2 flour, 4 corn) for that. The green sauce has a kick to it but super good on there. Y’all hit them up, you will not be disappointed. Had me up there talking Spanglish muy muy deliciousoso 😭😭😂😂 I took the pic after I ate half 🥴🥴

Delicious food, friendly service, cozy outdoor space in the garden. This was our first visit to El Jardin & won't be our last. We each had two tacos & one gordita which was plenty of food - $22 for two people that didn't leave hungry. The meat/shrimp was so tender & full of flavor - the Carnitas taco was mostly meat with very little fat, if any. The Camaron (Shrimp) taco had a little kick but was perfectly seared. We especially recommend the Cochanita Pivil gordita. The owner/head cook was friendly & apologized for the 'long' wait which we didn't think was that long for cooked to order food. He has been in the food truck business for 5 years now & truly cares for his local people & us visitors from all over the world.

If you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering tacos, look no further than Taqueria El Jardin Tropical! From the moment you approach the truck, you can smell the savory, sizzling goodness that draws you in. The tacos here are truly next-level—each bite bursts with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the fresh, crispy toppings.

I tried the al pastor and carnitas tacos, and both were absolutely delicious. The al pastor had the perfect balance of smoky and sweet, while the carnitas were tender and full of rich, savory flavors. The tortillas are fresh and soft, and the salsas range from mild to fiery, offering the perfect kick without overwhelming the taste.

The service is quick and friendly, and you can tell the team behind the truck truly cares about the quality of the food they serve. Whether you're a taco connoisseur or a first-time visitor, Taqueria El Jardin Tropical will not disappoint. I can’t...

My family visited Galveston this week and we came to this taco truck on our last night. This was hands down one of the tastiest meals we've had in TX this week. The owner, Javier, was there and he is very kind and wants to make sure you are enjoying everything. The tacos were excellent. We each ordered 4 different tacos to sample: 1) beef fajitas, 2) cochinita pibil, 3) pollo, and 4) barbacoa. My wife also ordered a shrimp taco for herself. Every single one was delicious, and we each had a different favorite. While we were there, another guy came to order some tacos and the owner recognized him. We heard him ask, "Were you here earlier?" and the guy said, "Yeah, I moved up to Virginia and they don't have tacos like this up there, and your barbacoa is the best." We're going to tell our relatives in Houston about this truck, so they share this with their friends. This...
