Gil's K-Nine Bar — Restaurant in Garden City

I was thrown out because I didn't have documentation proving my service dog is real. Obviously don't know the laws. When I tried to explain I got yelled at, cussed at, and not allowed to talk. I told the owner I would bring the State statues and laws and the federal laws back. When I did they threw in my face, told me I had an attitude for bringing the paperwork. So I called the police so they threw me out for calling the police. The police gave them the paperwork and will be checking up on whether they pay attention and care about the laws they obviously do not know and do not care about. I have been enjoying going there at night for a long time. Supposedly the owner had read the card four or five years ago. Even though I have never been there at lunch before and the owner admitted to the cop he's never been there at night he says he's had confrontations with me before. Obviously...

I guess it's kind of a "dive" bar, which isn't a bad thing. Yeah, that's what it is and it's got the distinction of being a gem of a dive bar because it's old, but not smelly, unpretentious, but comfortable, rustic, and functional. Here's the best part.....the food is OUTSTANDING!! I ordered the ribeye dinner. The steak was perfect in every way, cooked exactly as I asked for, the asparagus was fresh and not overcooked and roasted potatoes that were very tasty and cut into bite-sized pieces. Drinks are great and staff are down to earth people. Can't bring the kids, but a great place for a casual adult dinner and drinks. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'll be back for their...

Had one of the best Reuben's I have had in a very long time. It was huge with a large portion of fries. No way I would have been able to eat more than half of it if it had been made anywhere else I've had one recently. But I left super stuffed because I devoured every last crumb. Yum mmmm. Now I want another.

My only negative thing to say is that they do not seem to like a y call in orders for pick up. I my experience, more than 3 times I have called and said I would like to place an order to be put on hold and forgotten about. Always after 2pm but before 4pm. Then try and call back and their...
