Don't walk down Fletcher Street or you may be charged by the bartender's and friends' dogs and then blamed for having the nerve to walk down a public street. My leashed dog and I were charged by three unleashed dogs hanging outside The Symposion while walking down Fletcher Street toward the Greenbelt. Two of those dogs proceeded to jump, scratch, and bite both myself and my dog until the owners retrieved them. The owners made no attempts to recall their dogs. After securing my dog in my vehicle I attempted to talk to staff about the incident. Unfortunately, the only bartender on staff (& the owner of one of the dogs) was visibly intoxicated and immediately escalated to aggression, coming out from behind the bar to get in my face while a male friend approached me from behind. This is super trashy and disappointing behavior from a local business. I love a dog bar, but allowed untrained and unleashed dogs to aggressively approach passersby on a public street is in no way acceptable.

I wanted to stop in here for decades and never have since it's kind of off the beaten path. They've been open for 47 years and my uncle used to come down for a beer or two before I was old enough to drink. Every person that came in was known by name so obviously a very loyal clientele. Love that half the people were able to bring their dogs in with them. They offer a full bar, limited beers on tap plus bottles. You are allowed to bring your own food in or have food delivered here.

They stole $12 from me by overcharging my card. You can make all the excuses you want about people making mistakes, but if the girls working the bar weren't drunk and high, the mistake wouldn't have been made. Left a cash tip, so you can't claim that was it either.

Probably the best bar I've ever been to! My friends enjoyed their drinks quite a bit. The patrons were all absolutely lovely; very friendly and talkative, and you could tell it was the local hang out after work for everyone. And of course, the best part was the dogs. I got to pet four dogs while we were there, and all of them were so well-behaved!! We were planning on going back the next day, but some things happened and we didn't make it :( If people actually read this -- Mark, thanks for the offer of a drink, and Jared thanks for all of the food/bar recommendations!! It was wonderful talking with you both

Hadn't been in this place for so many years I don't remember my past experience with it it was a weekend back then and it was quite crowded it's not a real big place but big enough to stop by on a weeknight after work. Very comfortable and had pool table I liked the windows letting in some of the light and the bartender was very friendly and good attitude. They have great specials and deals there I noticed the board had some type of drink every day of the week that was on a good deal price. And if you are there when I was there 5:00 p.m. they do $2 domestic beers which is awesome. Not too loud of music or any thing obnoxious. Nice little old place to stop by waiting for 5:00 traffic...
