Placed an order via door dash because we were outside of their regular delivery range. But, I was super excited to try them with all of the positive reviews. First time, we placed an order, door dash said they were accepting orders for another 30 minutes. Went ahead and placed the order and it was cancelled by Americana. Bummer. But, we figured maybe it was just too late. Placed an order a week later on a Wednesday night at 6:02. Wait time was 45-52 minutes. Okay, cool. It’s now 7:20 and my dasher (3rd one) has just now left with the pizza. Worst part, was that the final dasher waited 20 mins for the pizza after it was already supposed to be ready to be picked up. When 17 minutes passed, they told them another 10 minutes. The dasher also said they were rude. Beyond keeping us waiting for our food, they are keeping a dasher waiting whose time is literally money and being rude to them? In these times, people are just doing what they can to make ends meet. No problem on my end, I’m making up the difference for the dashers time by leaving extra cash. But, Idc how good this pizza is, I won’t support a business who treats other people carelessly and flippantly. Luckily, I have...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! My son and I are both pizza fanatics and were looking for a new place to try out. I have skateboarded for years at Rhodes Skate Park so I knew about Americana, but I was never there when it was open. I actually stumbled across it at the top of an internet list for best pizza restaurants in the treasure valley. Let me say that this place does not disappoint for what it is. If you want a sit down restaurant with a waiter taking your order, this is not it. If you want an excellent deal with fast, friendly service that you and your +1 could go and sit at one of their small tables and enjoy a quick lunch, then this place is for you. Bonus points if you are a skater because this place is decorated top to bottom with a great collection of decks. The service is excellent and most of all, the pizza is delicious. My son and I got out of there spending
Read moreYou've probably heard the phrase "even bad pizza is good". Well, unfortunately this once true statement has become a distant sentiment of times now gone thanks to the rapid decline of the pizza (and especially pizza delivery) industry. Pizzas not only never arrive hot because delivery has been outsourced to garbage services that do not require hot cases, but no one probably gets paid enough to care. One large 18" pizza came out to about $40 including tip. There were maybe 10 pieces of pepperoni. There were a grand total of 4 thin slices of roasted red pepper and maybe 5 hair-thin slices of mushrooms. The everything crust was just sesame and it was on the sauce part of the pizza, not the crust. This cold, sad, flimsy pie was the latest disappointing reminder that the days of consistent quality and delivery in the food industry is dead. Long live pizza, but damn...
