Wendy's — Restaurant in Garden City

This is my local Wendy's that I have been visiting 17+ years. Its okay but always hit or miss. You may get a good burger at one visit be it inside or late night drive thru then a not so good burger the next visit. The baked potato is always hot and good! Most of the staff are so very nice, truly super nice then you have the one who some days does not look to be very happy.

I do miss the meat quality of years past but that all changed with the push for low saturated fats in food many, many years ago, anyone remember the 70's commercial based around how juicy the Wendy's burgers were, so juicy you needed extra napkins... That was then, this is now.

I do hate the touch drink machine at this location, last visit was out of everything NOT diet. Many times no ice, please toss that machine in the trash and go back to regular drink machine. That touch drink machine is a bit "germy" touching that along with everyone else prior to eating is a turn off.

This Wendy's is okay, I will continue to visit every now and then but not often. I'm glad it has a late night drive though but I will admit out of all the other fast food places in Murrells Inlet Wendy's is my last choice, however that all changes after midnight now that everything closes early and I am thankful I can grab a late night burger but be prepared for a slow long line.

This Wendy's is what it is, okay but so much room for improvement but that was the case 17 years ago as it is today. Nothing changes, always middle of the road, 3 out...

Sat in in drive-thru for over 30 minutes to get service get to the window that's another 15 minutes sitting at the window whether making the food One cashier was on her phone and everybody else was standing around talking then the one that was on her phone makes frosty's and sticks them in the ice machine after touching her nasty phone so I wouldn't advise getting any drinks that has ice at this store because the ice is contaminated from the employees shoving the ices down in the ice machine because they're too lazy to make it as the customers order them so can you imagine anything that was on her hands is now going in your mouth and you're drinking it God only hope she washes her hands after she goes to the restroom because you know how much germs is on a cell phone because half the people are sitting on the toilet while they're on their cell phones and they think just because they wash their hands that their cell phones are not contaminated so could you imagine having poop on her hands and piss on her hands touching her cell phone before she even washes it and now you're drinking this if you get any drinks it has ice in it Management needs to step up and retrain their people and maybe work nights and see what they're employees are doing up at night time I will never eat it this restaurant again thank God I didn't get a drink so I sat there for around 45 minutes waiting on too...

Worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had pull in at 9:57 sat in line till 10:30 when I get to the window I'm told to wait........ ten more minutes go by after I place my order I'm told to pull to the second window. As I sit in front of the fist window I can see two employees sitting on the sink with phones out and a third that grabbed a chair with a phone in his hand. I finally get to the second window and I'm handing the wrong drink, the server Ryan quickly changes my drink. Tells me my total, I pay and I'm handed a bag of half frozen fries cold nuggets and a burger that's meat looks like it was on a grill or under a heat lamp for as long as I was in line. Ryan apologizes and offers to make it again. When I got my food for the second time 8 minutes later it look as it should. i ask to speak to the manager she approaches, her first words to me was "what". I as if they had a shift change or a round of breaks that would explain the wait. She replied no that that wasn't the case that they were short handed and extremely busy. So I told her what I had seen at the first window, her only reply was "oh". Not sure what happened at this restaurant to have such breakdown of the basic fundamentals of how a fast food restaurant should operate, but hope it changes. Tossed the food in the trash can and ate at the McDonalds down the road drive through took 10 mins and got smiles...
