Since the Lee's Sandwiches at this location has several managers and supervisors of both ethnicities Vietnamese and Mexican, I will identify the person who I want to speak about today as the Mexican manager lady wearing glasses. My family and I are regular customers at this location, and whenever this manager takes our order, her attitude is cold and indifferent. She often walks around Lee's Sandwiches putting on an air of importance and not having a specific duty. It is quite confusing to tell what her actual task at Lee's Sandwiches is. One moment, she will be at the food-pick-up area passing out food and drink to customers and the next moment she will be at the cashier area taking orders from customers. Her often spontaneous action of working at the order-pick-up area and then switching to the cashier area (or vice versa) only occurs within a few minutes between each other. Since she is the manager, she probably can do whatever she wants even if it is at the inconvenience of the customer.
During the most recent incident, although our food and drink were already prepared by other workers, we had to wait for a while to receive them. This manager, who was working at the food-pick-up area a few minutes ago, decided to casually drift away to work at the cashier area. She did not direct anyone to substitute in place of the position where she left at the food-pick-up area. Since there was already someone working at the cashier area, her presence there seemed to be unnecessary. This is not the first time that she ignored us and made us wait by spontaneously switching between the two positions: cashier and food-pick-up. It seemed like she was intentionally doing this to us, because whenever this ignoring behavior occurred, Lee's Sandwiches was not even busy. For example, during this recent occurrence, there were about two customers in the store. Since this manager seemed to be in the highest position at this Lee's Sandwiches location, I am not sure who I can reach out for help with...
Read moreThe young female manager and I use the term loosely as from what I observe on a daily basis she spends more time on shoeing away homeless individuals who are just trying to provide her customers a service at free of charge and they don't once ask anyone for a single dollar, rather than focusing on their operations and staffing levels. Wait times are regularly longer than expected with people constantly peeling off the back of the line. When they finally take your order with if you're lucky more than one cashier; it may take an additional 30 minutes for them to complete your order. And yet I just witnessed someone spending over an hour of his time sweeping their entire sidewalk and parking lot while simultaneously opening the door for the patrons arrival and departure all without asking anyone for anything and with a smile on his face. When he was all done... the lady came out and told him that he needed to get his things off the property because the sidewalk needs to be kept clean and clear. I had to take pictures of what I would say is a perfectly clean walkway (not sidewalk) and clear of any obstruction of his property. I wish I had a preview of what it looked like before her arrived with trash littered all over the floor and guests struggling to open their heavy glass door and drinks being knocked over when the door shuts on them. I hope management reads this and refocuses on what's important in restaurant operations. I can guarantee if as much as time is spent on working on operations and staffing as is spent sending away hard working free labor that's only helping you all out, the place would probably be much much busier than usual.
The walkway is clearly cleaned and clear. Shame on her 😕 Hey I guess she just feels insecure about her own personal job performance and feels it's necessary to make decisions based on a personal bias opinion and not on the good...
Read moreUp until today, I recommended this Lee’s Sandwiches location (at the corner of Brookhurst + Westminster) to everyone I came across.
Today, I can’t across two rude female staff workers. They need to be fired. Not retrained, but FIRED. Because this place had very good customer service until these two ladies started working for them.
I was told to wait for my order and they will call out my order number. As I am waiting, I noticed who were in front and behind/after me - we were all waiting for the same items. When it came time to call, they didn’t call out the order numbers, but just speed that the items are done and to come just get them. Like: “WTF? You didn’t say that when I ordered.” But ok, I went to line up. The people in getting got their items and then it came to my time and the people behind me. They bypassed me after asking me about my order and helped the two people behind me. Then I became the last person. I asked (loudly), “Do you not hang out orders/items but order numbers and/or whoever is in line first?” Both of them just looked at me and then told me that they didn’t understand. So I said, “all of the people that you handed the items to just now were all behind me and you gave/helped them first and now I’m last when I ordered before them.” The gal in the pink face mask glared at me and said, “well, I’m giving you your items now.” And in a sense with her glare and tone, said “what else do you want from me?” I was livid at this point and said, “that’s not my point. But since you’re finally giving me my items now and I’m last when I was in front of other people that you...
