Friendly's — Restaurant in Gardner

We ordered from friendlys tonight, two dinners and an appetizer. We ordered it for pickup, the email said it would be ready for 5:40pm. We called at 5:50pm to check in, we thought we ordered delivery and they corrected us which was no problem. They said we could Instacart the order and they would refund it from friendlys or come and pick it up. We arrived around 6:10pm to come and pick up the order, there was immediate confusion. The front staff person asked “are you sure you didn’t want to re-order for delivery?” No.. we messed up the order but just live down the street so it was no problem to go and get it. The cooks seemed confused and annoyed when the front staff person asked about the “order for x”. We waited for almost 50 minutes while the front staff person said “they had a mix up”. I would have much rather appreciated them saying they threw the order away instead of pretending like it was almost done. No apologies made, no discount offers, nothing, for waiting over an hour for my pick up order. We ended up wanting a carton of ice cream, and they decided to charge us for that. I had to ASK for a discount after waiting over an hour for food that should have been ready with no issues. Then she even still had to check in with the manager to give us the discount on the ice cream, we got no apology and no discount on the meal. Additionally, even after the order was remade I did not even get the sauce that I PAID FOR. Likely will not return, horrible and rude customer service. Please just be honest with customer...

I got a coffee that I paid almost 3$ for it was so burnt and old I could not drink it. As we were waiting for food one of the waitresses was talking extremely loudly about how sick she is because people don't wash their hands and kids etc etc. we continually heard her coughing and then touching everything out back with out washing her We got our food and the French toast was burnt. The tomatoes in my omelette weren't diced they were large pieces. The omelet had oil all over it. I needed more water since I couldn't drink my burnt coffee and the waitress was out side smoking. While we were eating the sick waitress was loudly speaking about how drunk she had gotten the night before taking 30 Jell-O shots etc etc. while continuing to cough everywhere. She then came over because the red light was on. I asked for water. My husband couldn't believe I would drink something that she touched. We saw her go out back and continue to keep talking for a few minuets before she finally got the water. She continued talking extremely loudly and very unprofessionally. Our original waitress never came back in. In all our food service and ambiance was awful. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. As a former waitress I would have gotten in a lot of trouble if I was having such loud conversations around customers and coughing everywhere. I have never been so disappointed. My fiance, son, and I where there for 2 hours! We walk in to be seated and there are people in the kitchen just on their phone have an arguments about baby showers and what not. We didn't get seated till about 20 minutes while they wait if people to start packing in to be seated. So we get seated and then we waited a while to get her order taken while people that walked away after us and where seated after us got to order taken. Then we ordered an appetizer or drinks and our food and we got the appetizer in our food 30 minutes to an hour. The food was reheated because my fiance and I saw it in the kitchen just sitting there waiting. I will waitress was basically ignoring us going everywhere to not be near us. We ordered our ice cream in this family who came in like an hour after us, they got their food ASAP. Then we ordered ice cream the same time they did and they got their ice cream before we did and when we got ours which was 30 minutes later it was melted. I'm also going to add at the whipped cream was bad it was kept in a heated area and not in the fridge. Waited forever to get a receipt and to get paid and to leave. Let me brought up the fact that the ice cream was no longer good The waitress gave us attitude. I probably won't be going there unless all of this is resolved... I would put zero stars to...
