Get ready for a short essay on poor food and poor service. This was on a weekday, about 7:30 pm, long drive thru line, lots of employees hustling, and only 4 people ahead of Me for dine in. First problem (1) was the employee (young thin female) who ordered her meal, then had to tie up both the cashier and the shake dude for several minutes with her banter and request for a shake with 6 extra pumps of chocolate. Trust me, no one waiting in line wants to watch someone chortle with their co-workers and tie up the line. The female cashier (young, large) gets to me, I order 2 sandwiches for dine in. She gave the other dine in people a number so their food could be delivered to them, but not me (2), so I stood to the side. 2 guys behind me ordered 4 sandwiches to go - both of our orders included one spicy chicken and one regular chicken sandwich. Me and the guys wait for about 5 minutes and the cashier walks over and whispers something to them and they respond. She loudly says "Poor communication! No one tells me anything!" and walks away. We're standing about 4 minutes longer and a male employee gives the guys their food and they leave. I get his attention and ask why they got their food already, when we both ordered the same sandwiches. (3) He says there was a wait for the spicy sandwich, so they changed their order. I said "Is there a reason I wasn't extended the same courtesy?" He didn't apologize but checked on my order and brought it about 1 minute later. All in all, I waited at least12 minutes (4) for my food, all the while watching the drive thru cars go flying by. Neither sandwich was good. They were dry with no chicken flavor. The only taste on the spicy sandwich was a little spice (5). Followup - about 3 weeks later I had my next fast food meal. I swung thru a gas station/McDonalds building and ordered thier spicy chicken sandwich, which was obviously a copy of Chick Fil A. It was good!!! Well cooked, moist and flavorful chicken, good crunch and...
Read moreDude, it's 'Chik-fil-a'.... the last bastion of great food and friendly and fast service that still exists in this messed up world.
Where they always say, "my pleasure" (and actually look like they mean it).
The staff at any given Chik-Fil-A (and I'm not exaggerating) would literally have to go out of there way to mess anything up about your order. Don't believe me? Test the theory.
I bet if they ever did they'd fall all over themselves to make it right.
You'll always have plenty of napkins, straws, utensils, the exact amount and type of sauces you asked for. Your fries will be piping hot, piled high, and not tipped over in the bag. Your entree will always be fresh and exactly how you asked for it.
They always repeat your order back to you to make sure they heard everything correctly. If anything I've actually had one or two MORE nuggets in my order which is more than I can say for other places. They pride themselves on making you happy.
If there's a line at the drive thru it moves so fast you'll never notice. I've never been to any Chik-Fil-A where any of this is different in any other part of the country and I've been to many of these. If you want your food to be fast, friendly and fresh look no further.
It's like they hire people from 1950 and teleport them to current day.
If you've never been, you need to check them out. Bar none, the best chicken out there and there dipping sauces are amazing.
Yes, even in Traverse City I'm happy to report Chik...
Read moreMy kid was told to eat here. Great idea! Both, our first times. Before even getting the order I was delighted by the options available for side substituts & the price for doing that. When the total came up, kid made a comment about it being pricey. And to be honest it is cheaper than we're spending to eat at Wendy's back home. [ No Chick-fil-A there or anywhere near! :( ] The young people working were kind, dressed in proper uniforms lookin sharp, and never made me feel rushed or judged. This matters. When the rush went through and my kid & I were also on our way out but stopping at the register for ice cream to-go, the employees could all be seen wiping things down cleaning, which made me feel even more comfortable. Even the boy who said "it's my pleasure" didn't come off like it was a forced thing to say 18 million times a day. The food was HOT and delicious. If you don't believe me you can believe the little girl who was sat with her oma across from us. She said her food was delicious 4 times before her potty break and twice after. I'm pretty stoked to try breakfast and that salad I saw someone had, now! I really enjoyed it. Thank you Chick-fil-A. I hope they're all like you. PS loved the real red carnations in vases...
