Okay, first of all.... When you hear "Outback Steakhouse" you expect to get the best of the steaks and food that's actually good.... Well....not this time... I ordered for the Mrs and myself and one of the items was the "Blooming onion" that they're known for. Usually you get this gigantic onion that full of flavor (and artery disease lol) and something that tastes out of this world, right? (Your mouth is watering using it) Here we get this split apple sized onion that was partially burnt on the bottom... That was $12 if I remember correctly... Not a good deal at all!! Then came my wifes order then mine (11oz ribeye??) and I ordered mine medium rare. It looked like the insides were still alive while the very outside was cooked properly (maybe it was frozen and they cooked it too fast??) so I sent it back to be cooked just for a couple minutes longer. It came back just right but by that time I lost my appetite due to aggravation (which I kept to myself. The waiter was absolutely nice, kind and considerate, so I didn't want him to think I was mad at him because I wasn't. I hope next year he can take his girlfriend out to see the festival and get some deep fried Oreos while he gets to see an airshow š) The building was outdated. The windows were too high to see out of (why would you put windows in that you can't see out of when you're eating?) and the overall atmosphere was just wrong. One thought that came to mind was Chef Gordon Ramsay walking through the doors to fix the place up... Management; you guys need to do something with that place. It didn't meet the name of Outback...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreProbably one of the worst dining experiences I've encountered. Service was extremely slow and seemed to require multiple people. Waitress to take the order, helper brought drinks. Another helper brought food. Waitress seemed to keep forgetting our items, had to keep hunting someone down to get refills or our correct items. Meals missing and then brought after the rest of our party had already finished. Waitress kept blaming all errors on the multiple younger guys helping her... it wasn't even busy either. Like doing simple tasks was above her pay grade almost...We had an hour wait for a table and the restaurant was literally only about 15% full. It was the most absurd dining experience I've ever experienced. We ended up tipping the helpers because they did 90% of the work while our waitress hardly did anything and seemed to cause more problems actually. Not putting orders in right, forgetting items, etc. At one point she walked past us with coffee and we flagged her down for a refill and she stated she would send someone else to do it?! Twenty mins later we flagged down one of the helpers again who had to go get a coffee pot as she walked to other tables with one then she came back and blamed him for the delay. It was all like a disorganized sort of circus or something.... we were very patient considering it was 4th of July but really it was pretty slow and uncalled for. I think management needs to really look into these waitress duties or what is...

Let me tell you, folksāI rolled into Outback Steakhouse hungry enough to eat a kangaroo (but donāt worry, no marsupials were harmed in the making of this meal). I decided to try their new Bone-In Ribeye with Bourbon Onions, and let me just say⦠WOW! That steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and juicy, with the bourbon onions adding this sweet, smoky kick that had me contemplating ordering another one just to take home and cuddle with.
My wife,m, went for the Alice Springs Chicken, which came smothered in cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and a honey mustard sauce that Iām pretty sure could bring world peace if distributed correctly. She kept offering me a bite, but I was too focused on my steak to steal her thunder (though I did snag a forkful⦠phenomenal!).
And of course, we couldnāt start the meal without their iconic Bloominā Onion. Let me tell you, the onion was so perfectly fried and seasoned it felt like we were eating an Aussie masterpiece. Pair that with the dipping sauce, and boomāinstant appetizer perfection.
Outback nailed it with this meal, and the service was on point too. Traverse City folks, if you havenāt tried the bone-in ribeye yet, youāre missing out on a flavor adventure thatāll make your taste buds do the Outback Shimmy.
