This was a surprisingly good hotel that stacks up well against other extended stay properties. The staff, to a person, was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious with a fully stocked kitchenette and full size refrigerator. Cooktops are available for checkout. The 24 hour access gym was top notch with ample cardio machines including a Peloton. There were TRX straps; jump box; kettlebells; weight balls; an adjustable cable cage machine, and dumbbells up to 75lbs. I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the salt water indoor pool, but it looked inviting and well maintained. Breakfast was served daily and tea, coffee, and water were available all day. There was plenty of parking and it was adjacent to Chick-fil-A. It was no more than 15 minutes from the airport and as little as 3-5 minutes to grocery stores; shopping centers (Walmart and Target) and several restaurants. Waterfront restaurants were only 7-10 minutes away and there were excellent options. With only 4 floors, getting around in the 2 elevators was a breeze. The conference room, which we used for the week, was nice and spacious enough for a large team. A special shout out to the housekeeping crew who did a great job making sure the room was stocked up. Thank you Erica— you were awesome!! All in all, I will be back and will tell others to...
Read moreAt the moment my 13 year old son and I walked in, we felt the registration clerk staring at us. There was an American couple who was in front of us. The registration clerk was very friendly and welcome them and asked if they wanted to check in offer them coffee and tea while they waited for their room. When our turn came his tone of voice and approach changed, he asked how can I help you, I told him I wanted to see if we could check in an hour early. He told us the room was not ready and to comeback in 40 minutes, which we were okay with. When we came back he told us the room was still not ready, we proceeded to wait till about 3:30pm when he told us the room was ready. He said they were short staff and it was taking a little longer to get the rooms ready. We proceded to the room and floor was still damp, definetely could tell they rushed to get it clean, there was hair on the couch and bed. We were there for a bit and then went out to dinner. When My husband and 3 kids walked in it was a different registration clerk and still samething happen she was staring at us as we were not supposed to be there. We try to ignored by just taking the elevator and into our room, but we end up deciding on not staying in a place we did not felt welcome and check out...
Read moreThe hotel and appointments are generally very good. We really appreciated having a sleeper sofa available and the room and public space aesthetics are pleasing. We were disappointed at the breakfast options, as the oatmeal described in hotel materials was not available due to biscuits and gravy being substituted instead. Most of the other foods were unhealthy aside from some green apples in a basket. We did appreciate oat milk and yogurt (without gelatin) as options. The primary reason we will not be staying at this hotel again is that it suffers from the same flaw as many others: the room HVAC unit cycles on and off again noisily and does not include an option for the fan to run continuously. This disrupted our sleep throughout the night. I imagine hotels disable the function of continuous air circulation to save electricity ($), but it comes as the cost of good sleep...
