I am very disappointed. We liked the Del Rancho on Buckingham before it closed so I picked the new downtown location for my birthday dinner with my husband. It was awful. So many âlittleâ things were not good so maybe I sound nit-picky, but it was just one thing after another and all put together, made for a huge birthday let down.
We came for an early dinner thinking it wouldnât be too busy and we were pleased to be seated immediately on the patio, which only has 4 tables. Almost the entire time we were here, the music was cutting out, as if the speaker was too far from the Bluetooth device. We ordered water and margaritas, and a small cup of queso (which they have on the menu as âcheese sauceââŠâŠ.) Because it was my birthday we ordered âtop shelfâ margaritas (instead of house), on the rocks. When they arrived, the ice was almost all melted and the color was neon. I could not taste any alcohol; perhaps it was overpowered by the horrible lemon lime mix that reminded me of powdered Gatorade. We finally got a basket of chips which were barely warm and were cold in no time. Salsa was good. We had to ask for our waters again, as well as the queso. We also ordered two beers since we werenât going to waste money on another powdered margarita. We never received the beers. We received our food - which overall was just okay. The fajita portions seemed off. My husband got a huge portion of chicken and beef fajitas; while my plate of chicken and shrimp fajitas seemed much smaller-only 4 pieces of shrimp and not as much chicken as the other plate. The grilled veggies were not cooked enough. Rice and beans were bland. Shortly after our food was delivered, a gentleman came to our table and we asked again for the queso. He said he would get it right away and take it off our check (which he did, thank you). The queso was good but the chips were already cold since we had been waiting so long. My husband asked for more shredded cheese (because there was barely any given with the sour cream/guac plate), and they charged us $3 for a tiny cup of shredded cheese. We had to ask twice for a to-go box and twice for the check. By this point, I was going mad with the music losing connection. Finally got our check (which - heads up, they will charge you a credit card service fee if you donât use cash), and we got out of there. And I will...

My family and I dined at this amazing Mexican restaurant yesterday around 4 PM, and we were beyond impressed! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and spotless, with a professional and well-dressed staff that made a great first impression.
The service was top-notchâour waitress was fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed and getting our order right from the start. We started with top-shelf margaritas, which were delicious, along with queso and guacamole. The queso, hands down, was the best Iâve ever had at any Tex-Mex or Mexican restaurant! My husband and son also shared some oysters, which they said were excellent. I had a bowl of tortilla soup, and it was incredibly flavorful. All of our entrĂ©es were outstanding, and even the salsa was on point.
To finish, we ordered churros for dessert, and we were surprised to find out they had a filling! They were served in an adorable little dessert truck plate, which was such a fun touchâand they tasted just as amazing as everything else.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will absolutely be back. If youâre looking for incredible food, exceptional service, and a beautiful atmosphere, this is the...

The 2nd time was just as Good, but the 3rd time I ordered a Bowl of tortilla soup it tasted funny had huge pieces of carrots, and Potatoes I told my Husband no more of this Soup , I ordered 1 enchilada cause I was hungry. Well that same evening I developed Food poisoning I was sick all Night I told my Husband never again. I told him the carrots and potatoes look like they used stuff from another Soup to make my tortilla Soup. After a week I decided to try once more and ordered enchiladas their #22 it was ok , I noticed less red sauce and chili con carne on top Also I noticed less chips in the basket. I told my husband I think the Grand Opening had worn out and we are back to mediocre Food. It's ashame because they really made a Good impression and had our Business I could Eat there almost every other day lol...service is Awesome they are attentive except 2 Waitresses that made us feel like we were bothering them to ask for something. The Atmosphere is Pleasant each time we ate there and very Clean. I give it 3 stars đ a Good place to Eat. Dos Banderas on Main can't compare to this so...
