Denny's — Restaurant in Garland

WAIT FOR IT !! Read to the end. This is the best Denny's location in the metroplex. The food is always good and fresh with hardy portions. Good atmosphere and the wait staff and management are always kind and helpful. They never disappoint !!!!!UPDATE TO MY REVIEW AND IT ISNT A GOOD ONE!!!!! We went to the restaurant on Thursday 10-31-2024 between 12:30-1:30 a.m. There was 4 customers inside and 1 guy sitting at a booth next to the register/front desk, he was passed out hanging over the side of his seat about to go head first onto the floor. We waited to be seated for about 5 minutes, nobody ever came to seat us nor did anyone show their face to say hello or to tell us they would be right there. After finding a clean (sort of) table we seated ourselves. My legs stuck to the seat and my arms were sticking to the table (Like a mouse in a sticky trap). Must be why the syrup dispenser was empty? Yuck! The windows were nasty and there were dead flys and other bug carcasses resting on the window sills. Above all that the place smelled like a , worse than a gas station bathroom. We waited patiently for about 7 minutes. Not an employee in sight and the kitchen was dead silent. Needless to say we got up and walked out. As we approached the front door, someone popped up out of nowhere and asked where we were going. Biting my tongue, all I said was that we were going down the street to get something to eat. This is really weird if you ask me but as we were walking back to the car I noticed a big bushy plant in the front flower bed. Guess what it was ? A tomato plant with rotten tomatoes hanging all over it and laying on the ground. Thats whats they mean when somebody says that they are "dying on the vine." I Used to love this Denny's but apparently something has happened and It's the worst. I won't go back and I won't have it delivered. SO THERE'S MY...

I had a great experience at this location today. I hadnt been to a Dennys in a long time and I’m glad it was at the one in Irving The food was very fresh and full of flavor and our waiter was very attentive. As we were leaving, joe was very kind to me and my group and it made for an overall great experience🧡

The pot roast, potatoes & carrots had a great flavor but the roast was over cooked and the veggies were under cooked. The T bone was perfectly cooked, very well seasoned and tasted great! We also had the strawberry cream crepes, and caramel apple crisp with ice cream. Both desserts were also fantastic!! I've forgotten just how good Denny's food can be, tonight I was reminded and very pleased to be.

This is the literally how I measure any breakfast house in DFW now, how close it is to this place. Obviously the most important thing the atmosphere is how good is the pancakes and this is where it scores highest because it’s AMAZING! But then the pleasant scenery, the cute ranch style decor and great service all make a difference too. Overall the best pancake housein DFW for me and probably one of the best in Texas too! Also want to add the female bathroom were cleaned very well!! We had a nice waitress who took our order, however the coffee she brought to one of our guests was lukewarm. He drank it anyway then the next cup was also lukewarm. On the third cup he specifically asked for hot coffee and explained that the coffee wasn't hot and suggested that she microwave it before giving it to him. That was just the beginning. When our waitress disappeared we got a new one. The new waitress brought part of our order. One meal was missing the pancakes, one meal was missing the toast and extra butter and the third meal had cheese sticks instead of chicken strips! Of course the new lady didn't take our order, so she went to get the missing items and took the third dinner totally away! Sitting there with no food was a bit weird. I don't exactly understand why she would remove the whole meal when they should never serve those cheese sticks to another customer, why didn't she apologize and bring the missing chicken? Very strange. Finally the pancakes came. The first waitress had told our guest that they had the toast, the second waitress said only white wheat and Texas toast. He then chose Texas toast. She returned with the toast and forgot the extra butter. By now I wondered if I would get food. Finally she came back with my plate. It had the same chips with queso that was slightly warm with a skin that had formed on it, along with the onion rings that we maybe kept under a heat lamp and very hot chicken nuggets. I had ordered ranch and of course it didn't come with the meal. She brought that back right away. The meal was not very good, we were hoping for something yummy while we were here.
