😤 “Best breakfast sandwich on the planet” they said… I raised an eyebrow, cracked my knuckles, and said “Let’s see what this breakfast game really talkin’ about.”
Pulled up to this new spot fresh outta New York, now blessing Texas with that New Yolk flavor 😆.
In a somewhat forgotten area og Garland... Walked in like... Ohh-kay... Place was fresh and new with a professional decor to it...
I said... what is your BEST!?
He then recommended everything starting with a Philly Hobo.... Okay I'll take that. .. What else? He then started talking up the sausage Hobo—said the sausage gets flown in from somewhere up NY like it’s a VIP. I was like, “Aight then, I'lltakethat too!.” I hit him with my flex to make it G-TOWN—add bacon, throw in an extra egg. 😎 He hit me back with, “You want the sauce?” Something-something Sriracha. I said, “Yo, however you eat it, I'm down.” 😎
Meanwhile, my sister was deciding between a omelette and French Toast?!?I was like Omelets are normal... order the French Toast… and she then added cheese and onions to her egg... then looked up like she was about to order another entrée. I looked at her like, “Hold on now… just because I ordered two doesn’t mean you gotta go double-plated too.” 😤 (And I knew she was gonna order a drink on top of this.)
Food shows up. First things first—gotta clean the lens. 📱 Snap. Angle. Snap. Rearrange. Snap. Dramatic close-up. Snap snap. Aight, now we eatin'.
First bite of the Philly Hobo: DAAAMN. 😳 I froze mid-chew and gave my sister the slow head-turn like, “You feel that?”
Then I picked up the G-TOWN Stacker and hit bite #2: BOOM. 🤯 That’s when I started plotting how to convince my sister this sandwich might be “too spicy for her” (which she don’t like spicy food 😅). I observed her taking the bite of the breakfast sandwich and sure enough I was let down because her face lit up saying it wasn't spicy at all!
That sauce? Had me close my eye and sat shoulder dancing like I was a fat kid again. 😆🤣😋
Absolutely delicious.
Now the French Toast? Solid. I told 'em: Hit it with whipped butter so it spreads easy, toss a strawberry on there, dust it with a little powdered sugar... give it that Instagram glow-up. I'd get it again. But let’s be real:
Them HOBOs are the headliners. The French Toast was the opening act. The HOBOs came on stage, lights down, crowd screaming—they are the show. 💥
After stuffing everything down and nope... Sisterdidn'tleaveanything behind 😔, I walked over to thank the gentleman. Turns out his family’s been doing this for 29 years back in New York. And yeah, the sausage? Definitely had that “imported with love” flavor—savory, different, addictive.
I asked about the sauce, expecting some secret family recipe passed down from a sauce wizard. He says: “Oh that? It’s just a lil ketchup, salt, and sriracha.” …Excuse me?? I was stunned. Because it tasted like...
Guy read my mind saying it had a perfect balance and bring everything together.... I was like... your right!
So…
Best breakfast sandwich on the planet? Maybe.... 💯💣💥
... I hope this place ends up like Chris & Jons blowing up a year 2 afterwards and...

Quick service, quick preparation of the food, and a clean atmosphere.
As a Brit, I eat chip butties (french fries in a sandwich with butter) and beans on toast. This is as close to that as you're going to get, since they'll basically put ANYTHING ON THE MENU into a roll for you. That's outstanding. :D
Prices are updated in the store and on the online menu, and are higher than in some images you'll see. That's NOT an issue. There was no way they could sustain those old prices.
As someone who lived in Upstate NY for 15 years, and often made it into the City and the Island, it's nice to see that culture here. And we needed this new venture, since across the street, Alondra's closed down.
So go to Sali's for proper Calzone; come here for a Hobo done right.
Hobo with bacon and cheese, side of black beans (refried, they weren't whole) $14 after tip. Probably a little more than a standard two-egg breakfast plate, but it's fine by me. This sandwich really really really...

My wife had told me about Dos Huevos & said the hype was hard to ignore. Their location was right around the corner & we had a day to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with smiles and made to feel at home.
Recommendations on ordering for first-timers were appreciated & getting thumbs up on knowing we ordered like champs felt awesome. Food came and DAMN! Our breakfast sandwiches were to die for! The coffee, even black, was fire! The potatoes, wow. And that in-house baked bread, baby...damn damn DAMN!
We were lucky enough to interact with staff/ownership & learn about the origins of Dos Huevos. It's the exact small business, mom/pop shop we need more of. You may pay a little more than a fast-food place, but this place ain't that. Dos...
