GARLAND RESTAURANT-HORRIBLE!!!!!!! This has happened to me twice. I live so close to Fish&Tails in Garland that I can walk there. On two separate occasions including today I have ordered the combo meal which is shrimp, crab legs and sausage. When I received my order there were four crab legs four shrimp and a ton of sausage. The whole bottom of the plate was covered with sausage. I spoke with the manager regarding this and asked for the owners name and phone number, when I could get nowhere with him. He would not give me the phone number and said that it was up to him to settle the dispute. I said there needs to be more crab legs and more shrimp and he said NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. He argued with me and was extremely rude and kept trying to say that my order was the way it came all the time. I have seen other peoples orders of the same plate and their orders are much larger and I have had orders that are much larger. I went there to eat today July 30, 2020 and after arguing with me and being extremely rude he brought out someone else’s plate to my table during this pandemic and I happen to have strep right now which is very contagious and uncovered the plate to show me that the orders all came that way I asked him so now you’re going to go serve that to someone else after you’ve uncovered it at my table during a pandemic and I have breathed on that plate. He said no he was going to throw it away! I said then why don’t you just give it to us. HE SAID OH NO I CANNOT DO THAT! So I’m sure he went and served someone else that plate that had been breathed on by myself and I currently have strep which is very contagious and I could have Covid. I have not tested for Covid. But in any case he should never do that and when I would not accept what he was saying, I understood what he was saying and told him that, but I did not accept it. He just threw his hands up and sighed and was extremely rude, speaking very rudely. I have eaten other things there many times and because I complained before on the combination platter I believe that he is intentionally shorting my combo plate because he doesn’t like me. Nevertheless he should never throw away good food when he could give it to someone nor should he open a plate of someone else’s food at another person’s table. I am certain that he intended to serve that to someone else. He said I could not get the owners name or phone number because the owner did not want to talk to me. I was with someone else as a witness, and this is extremely wrong, rude and just completely unacceptable. The manager has been rude to me on many occasions!!!! I will contact the city health department about my experience regarding the health issue of this incident! Oh and also the waitress brought someone else’s food and sat it down in front of me before figuring out it was not mine. Again another unacceptable health concern!! I would not have given any stars if that were an...
Read moreGarland location: Placed an online order and picked it up. Got home and I was given a wrong meal. We don’t live around the corner. Called and spoke with the manager, Erica. I told her that I could not go back up there and needed a refund. I wasn’t asking for a full refund, just for what I didn’t get. She told me I had to take it back up there and they would refund me or give me what I had ordered. It was THEIR mistake. I told her again that I could not go back up there. She put me on hold and then told me AGAIN that I had to go up there. No apology, no refund, not the dinner I ordered. How is it ok to tell someone that it’s ok to pay for something and not get what they ordered?! I’ve read multiple reviews and they simply do not have good customer service. Attached are the pictures of what I ordered and what I got. They want proof, here it is. I don’t expect anyone to reach out because they just have the reputation of not caring. If I could give zero stars, I would. Council members are always encouraging us to eat out in downtown Garland, but this place is not it. Edited: saved the plate of food the manager wanted me to take back and took it in the morning. Same manager was there. She took it and threw it in the trash. Didn’t care to look at it that it was wrong. She didn’t believe me yesterday, but today I guess she did. Still, no apology. Refunded me the food I didn’t get. She tried explaining me the refund, but at that point I was just over it. Later at night, got a call from another person. Her boss had given her the email I had sent in when I contacted them through their website. That person apologized and explained the refund to me. At least she tried to be nice about it. I know I’ll be one less person to patronize this place and they probably don’t care, but for what it’s worth, at least MAYBE they’ll try to do better with...
Read moreSo the seafood is pretty darn good there, no doubt. But, I have a beef with the place...For a joint that requires you to stand in line to order your food, their prices aren't commiserate with that fact. However, that really isn't my beef. What really grinds my gears, is the fact that if you're not Hispanic, you might as well just hit the Long John Silvers drive-thru. You'll get ignored, skipped in line, and otherwise forgotten about. No matter how much money you lay down in the place. I learned early on, going there, that the phenomena of butter and lemon with seafood is, a novelty reserved for eighty year old's at Red Lobster. So, after my first round at Fish n Tails, I thought that I might actually request that my crab legs be brought to the table, with lemon and butter. Well, apparently that request fell on deaf ears, not once, but three times now. And what happens then you say? Does the friendly waitress that you just tipped $12 to, ask you what else you might need, when she slugs your $60 dinner to your table? No. The answer is unequivocally, no. So, you find yourself back the in the line, patiently re-waiting, to find yourself, face to face with the person, at the bar, whom you originally placed your order with. You, then ask (again), in the most kindest, non-condisending, way possible, if you may please have some lemon and butter, for your $60 meal, which is now good and cold, back at your table. They politely oblige, and proceed to look at you like. "OMG! Why didn't you ask for that, when you were in this line the first time??" So, long story short, A- on the seafood, F on service, on any day of the week, at anytime of day. If you're cool with that, then by all means, Fish and Tails is the seafood joint for you. Just try and make sure you, you look, act and talk Mexican, and you might bump the service up to...
