No morals, ethics, or equal treatment for customers. I have never had an issue with this establishment until this evening, and I have been a repeat customer for years - but NO MORE. My takeout order of steak soba was given to the dine- in customers (group of 4 young men) in front of me that ordered hibachi chicken. The young man opened the container, discussed the contents with his friend, closed the container, and returned it to the counter. The gentleman behind the counter gives him the correct order and proceeds to place the RETURNED container in a bag that he was going to give to me until I called him on it. His response is, "well you'll have to wait." I wait at the counter to make sure the order is cooked and that I'm not passed the returned container. While the food is being cooked, the cook and the guy that made the error are mumbling to each other, giggling, and then a note is passed to the female cashier from the guy that made the error. Now, there is a sign posted in front of the register that says 2 white sauces with each entrée and extra sauce is $0.35 each. One of the 4 young men return to the counter and says, "can I have 2 MORE white sauce?" 2 white sauces are given at no charge. Seeing all of this, I decide to cancel my order. There is some pushback but the order is canceled. I also ordered sushi, and while giving me the bag, I ask for 2 white sauces. The female responds that sushi doesn't come with white sauce. Well now it's about the principle of it for me. So I make the argument of what I just witnessed with the young man's request and I'm told they ordered a lot of food. Seriously - each one of them had one entrée of hibachi chicken. I had one entrée and 2 orders of sushi (approx $27). Now I really liked this place, but tonight I was shown there are no morals, ethics, and equal treatment for customers. Due to their error, they could have and should have apologized for the inconvenience of having me wait, offered me a drink or one of the sushi at no charge, given me the white sauce, or even told me that I would have to pay for the sauce. None of this happened; but you were willing to let me walk out the door with food that had been handled and returned. For that alone, the sanitation grade...

We ordered chicken soba, no vegetables. We were given chicken and rice. When we called to explain we received the wrong order, the man who answered argued with us and told us we ordered rice. We have eaten at this restaurant many times with no issues and order the same thing every single time, chicken soba with no vegetables. The man kept arguing. Then, the lady who took the order admitted that she didn’t know our actual order and guessed that we wanted rice. When we asked if we could go right back and get the correct order, we were told that they would give us the noodles but not chicken. When we explained that it’s a 45-55min trip because we live in Clayton and by the time we got back our chicken would be cold, we were told that they wouldn’t replace the chicken.

We called back and asked for a credit for the chicken soba for future use and were told we could have one for a side order of noodles. We asked again if we could return the food that was incorrect and have it corrected. The man refused and argued again. Finally, after another 10 minutes of going back and forth, they said if we brought the food back they would give us the correct order, which is what we requested to begin with.

Their customer service was something I haven’t seen in this area since we moved here a year and a half ago. We literally had to argue to get them to allow us to return and get the correct order.

Lesson learned. When they give you the wrong order because they guessed, you just have to argue right back with them to get them to correct it. Asking...

I do not recommend this place. I’ll explain why. I ordered the steak hibachi, the miso soup, and the king crab Rangoon’s. To start off with I wanted to try the miso soup. It smelled really good so I was excited and hopeful, even though I tried to cool it down; They should have a warning before hand, Because it was scolding hot and burnt the tip of my tongue. I was unable to try and taste it afterwards because it was extremely hot the remaining time I was there. Next we have the hibachi steak: the rice was Bland, dry, and burnt. The steak pieces were so small and so few that if I were to take every piece out, it would barely fill 2 tablespoons. The meat was dry and flavorless. The vegetables were undercooked and smelled/tasted of old cooking oil. None of it was enjoyable even if you added the Yum Yum sauce, which they make and mostly tasted like mayonnaise. Lastly, I have the king crab raccoons. I was extremely helpful because they looked really crispy, and they looked stuffed which most places I feel lack. I was disappointed after biting into it because it just felt like I was eating flavorless warm cream cheese. The guy at the front desk seemed nice enough But it felt like I was bothersome when I ordered everything so it didn’t make for a comfortable experience . The bathroom was dirty, and the table we sat at was sticky. Overall, if you haven’t got it from what I wrote, I was extremely...

Okay, I'll be as nice as I can be with posting this review. The atmosphere was very clean and pleasant, however the stuff they were serving a.k.a. food, was the worst I've ever had in a long time! We waited 30 minutes for them to cook an order of wings, Crab Rangoon, and a Hibachi shrimp and scallops dinner. 1. The Rangoons were cold once we got them and on top of that, they were overcooked. 2. The wings looked as if they were refried x3 in burnt cooking oil or what smelled like small engine oil. I couldn't finish the meal. 3. The Hibachi shrimp and scallops were just as much a disappointment as the other 2 meals. The scallops were very small and the shrimp was hard due to being overcooked. The rice was dumped into two lumps from a coffee cup and it was dry and cool. Overall the owners of the establishment were very and pleasant, I just wish their food shared the same sentiment! It's a nice place to drop in to get a cold fountain drink but leave the food alone!

Ordered take out from this place. Wife ordered 3 steak and shrimp and one chicken and shrimp. Food was extremely small portions... I counted 4 pieces of steak and 4 shrimps on my plate. Food didn't even taste like hibachi. Food was so bad that we took the food back to the store, to have the order remade. They refused to remake the order or give money back BUT they were willing to take our food and throw it back on the grill and add soy sauce..... Now, I'm not a food inspector, but I feel like that's a huge food safety violation. No worries. We refused to let them doctor the food. We just took the terrible food threw it away and went and got Chicfila. You guys can continue eating here but their blatant disregard for food safety, terrible portion sizes and unwillingness to remedy the issue will definitely result in us never visiting this establishment again. Good luck to everyone that continues to eat there.
