Crumbl — Restaurant in Garner

This location is absolutely filthy every time I’ve gone in, regardless of how busy they were, day of the week, or time. Not even in the way a store cleaned thoroughly with any regularity gets dirty throughout the day but in a built up way that’s concerning for a food establishment… I wish I had taken photos or a video to demonstrate how bad it was but with it being a busy Saturday I didn’t feel comfortable potentially getting other people who didn’t consent to being filmed on camera.

Despite the stores lack of cleanliness I’ve been able to mostly overlook the issues until today when I went in with my brother. All 3 of the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies we received were incredibly raw and when we went back inside to ask about getting some replacements we were treated horribly by an employee I wasn’t able to get the name of due to her not wearing a name tag. She argued that the cookies were meant to be that way and when we tried to show her and explain that they weren’t the last time we had them and this batch was especially raw she yanked the box out of my brothers hands and threw them on the counter before rolling her eyes and stomping off to get another employee. I’m not sure if he was the manager but he was at least sort of more friendly. He half paid attention to us when we asked what the solution would be and eventually must have just submitted a refund for the order when we weren’t able to come to a proper conclusion before walking away. Never giving us a receipt for the refund or letting us know what was happening or if it was finished. We ended up waiting another probably 5 minutes before the same rude employee we first spoke with told us once again very aggressively that we needed to move as we were blocking the register. After explaining the other employee was doing our refund and had never said it was finished she yelled to him asking if it was and he must have said yes because she told us it was finished and to move. Not once did anyone apologize or even just treat us with any respect or kindness and it’s honestly ruined any positive feelings on Crumbl I’ve had as a whole. I will definitely never go back to this location if I ever decide to go back to any Crumbl and as someone who’s worked in customer service and retail for almost 8 years recommend someone from higher management coming in and doing a refresher on customer service and cleaning procedures with the staff. I have nothing but positive things to say about this store and the manager, Caroline. I am always a big fan of crumbl cookies and how tasty they are, they are definitely my guilty pleasure. So when I had a surgery done earlier this week, I knew I’d want a sweet treat to give myself some comfort food while home resting. I had ordered through uber eats and was originally delivered the wrong order of cookies. I called the store and explained that Uber eats refused to refund me my order and asked if there was any remedy we could do. From the moment I called the store, I already knew I would have a pleasant experience as the associate who picked up the phone was very friendly and kind and connected me with the manager. The store manager, Caroline, offered to not only get me my correct order of cookies but she also offered to personally deliver them to my residence since I could not drive after my surgery. She delivered to my home this assortment of yummy cookies which is total 10/10 service that you very rarely come across these days. Customer service was terrible. They don’t greet anybody. Have a bad attitude. Didn’t even acknowledged me or respond when I said good afternoon and thank you. They acted as if I was a burden. I ordered by myself from the kiosk and just waited patiently for pick up. I didn’t ask any questions either. So there’s no reason to be rude. There was no line either just another person waiting for pick up. So I don’t understand the frustration if there were multiple workers. I don’t expect them to be nice out their way but just common courtesy and not be rude no matter who walks in your store. Learn some respect and how to treat people with dignity.

Edit: In terms of the cookies; they make them way too sweet at this location. Every item tastes like straight up sugar. At least the cookies would have made up for the terrible customer service. But their cookies are too sweet to the point where they’re inedible. Waste of...
