Update 6-20-24 Visited five below today and although I do really love the store and it was clean and organized today.... I'm really not a fan that they will pick that you had a great five-star experience on the survey. Literally they reach around and hit the button to rate them the highest. They don't let you do it, They do it.... I was going to rate them well anyways, But I didn't like how she reached around and hit the button for me.
Also again I'm going to comment on the self checkout renovation that they decided to do for this location. And now they have them all shut down but one. And they do not let you ring up your own items anymore. Sounds like you should have kept the actual cashier setup that you had and not had this big self checkout mess that you never have open now.
I know a lot of people think they are being racially profiled but I can assure you that as someone who is white and everyone else I saw that was white... They were also ringing their items up for them.
So I love five below. And I loved the convenience of self checkout. However they now make the employee up front that works the self checkout area.... Actually be the cashier and check you out. That completely defeats the purpose of self checkout and them redesigning the whole front of the store..... I did read other reviews where they were feeling like they were being profiled but I can say that they are doing this to all races and all ages. It's obvious that people were taking advantage and not ringing things up correctly but I still think it defeats the purpose of a self-checkout and the ease of it. Read moreI shop here a lot The atmosphere the store is always clean and friendly and easy to find things It's never cluttered however on my last visit I was looking for something called Lababies which was their version of the Labubu. I had called four days earlier before the weekend and spoke to a lovely young lady who told me that they had got a truck but to call back on Tuesday or Wednesday or come in on either of those two days and the stock should be put out So I just happen to be in the area and I came in to ask about it and you would have thought I'd asked her for a million dollars No we don't have those anymore they stop selling them I don't know who told you that why they told you that she just had a really bad attitude and I understand people may be having a bad day but it was not to the extent of the annoyance I had asking her that question I don't know if a lot of other people were looking for them but thankfully I didn't get one from there but I went to Galaxy kind that following weekend and actually got a real Labubu and the person who showed me that one at Comic-Con was much nicer about it.
