I love pizza hut but this location manager is an idiot. I ordered about $25 worth of food and I had a Pizza Hut Gift Card that I wanted to use and pay over the phone. This is nearest Pizza Hut is too far for delivery so the website wouldn't let me pay online. It said for me to pay in store. So I ordered my food and began to drive the 15 minutes to go pick it up. I got half way there and decided to call to make sure my gift card would go through at the register. The crew member who answered the phone was confused at the request to pay using a gift card over the phone so the manager got on the phone and then asked me what an eGftCard was. I was so annoyed and had to explain to the pizza hut manager how to use a gift card. I had the card number and pin number for my card. He took the card number but not the pin. Ran it and said its not a valid number. I was so angry because 30 minutes had already past between the time I ordered and the distance I'd driven from my home to the store. My kids were hungry and whining and I told them they could eat in the car as soon I got the food because they were hungry. The manager tried the number again and this time said it declined. I asked why he didn't ask for my pin and he said what pin????? I said well the Gift Card came with a pin. He acted like he had no idea what I was taking about. So I cancelled the order and turned around and headed home. When I got home I went to the pizza hut website and checked the balance on the gift card. It said your balance is $25. I was so furious a wasted hour trying to get pizza because the manager doesn't know how to use a gift card. I ended up spending 15 dollars at a McDonalds even thought my family had their hearts set on Pizza Hut. I will never go back to that location until they competent employees...
Read moreThis place is a train wreck and should just be avoided. The food just isn't good, the customer service is terrible, and the place just has a chaotic feel like no one has a clue what is going on or what they should be doing. Perfect example: The person I believe was the manager dropped my check off at the table and said she would come grab it and cash out when I was ready. I promptly left my card and check on the table waiting before finally after 15 minutes I just went to the register to pay. It was no big deal to get up and pay but what happened next was just weird. The cashier took my payment and then the manager came over asking her repeatedly if she had come over to collect my check. The poor cashier was confused and I just felt bad for her. I don't know why the manager thinks the cashier would come to collect my check when she had no prior interaction with me. Also the fact that I was standing there should have told her that I had walked up to pay and if she really wanted to ask the cashier about it, she could have waited until I left. This is the second poor experience I've had here. I decided to give it another shot after the first time on a busy Friday night that was just as poor if not worse. This place just struggles no matter the time of day or wether they are busy or not. Save yourself the time, money, and grossed out feeling and eat...
Read moreWARNING IF YOU LIKE PIZZA WITH LOW TO NO SAUCE OR CHEESE THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!
We ordered the New Yorker pizza from this Garner location after ordering it from another Pizza Hut(where it is was made right and excellent) and this pizza was absolutely atrocious!! We called them back and they replaced the pizza the next day and to our surprise the pizza was made the same way!!
I've come to the conclusion that this is not only a managerial issue but more than likely an owner issue. Let me explain:
If this was just a one-off mistake than the second pizzas would have been done right. However, because the second pizzas were made the same way, it seems as though this is what is being asked of them from higher up i.e. limit the amount of cheese and sauce to what is put on smaller size pizzas to save money/ ingredients.
In conclusion, there should be more sauce and cheese put on the larger New Yorker style pizzas than on the regular size pizzas, but this was not the case with our order.
Lastly, there are a lot more places that "OUT PIZZAS THE HUT" if compared to this place. Simply poor management, instruction, and attention to detail, smh, waste of $40. On a positive note they were pleasant and professional while serving half ingredient topped...
