Splendid breakfast spot! The waitstaff are so kind! They're the kind of people to call you honey or baby when they talk to you. It feels like they truly care about your experience. The food is great too. Gives off an american diner / waffle house vibe but much cleaner. The tables are not sticky at all. I've had the biscuits and gravy, sausage round, eggs, hashbrowns grits and omelets from here. All pretty fantastic choices however the BISCUITS are THE BEST. Cooked to perfection, from scratch, fluffy inside, barely crispy outside, melty buttery in your mouth. Don't get the toast. Get yourself a biscuit when they ask what side you want. We also had coffee which was just fine. We're a little bit picky about what coffee we choose to drink, and we probably won't order it again because we like a bolder flavor. But it was drinkable (which you can't always say for breakfast diner coffee)! Points to FIrestone! Sweet tea was really good too! Just the smallest bit too sweet for me and my husband, but we asked for lemons to add to it (which they happily provided) and that cut it perfectly for us. (Photos from two different visits this week - because we really enjoyed it the first time!)

Ohhhh I wanted it to be good. As a fan of breakfast foods, I am always on the lookout for a place that does it right. Cracker Barrel is a go to when all else fails. (Even sometimes they fail) I ordered the city ham with two eggs over hard. As you can see from the pic...it wasn't over hard, not with that much drippy yoke oozing out. (I got grossed out by the ooze) The ham was good. The Man got the big breakfast special & we split the pancakes. The pancakes were a bit chewy & had a denseness I didn't like. He made disturbing noises while eating the sausage, so it passed muster. The bacon was very chewy. The food came out warm...not hot..& really cooled down from there. Yes, this was a snow day in Gastonia but its not that big of a room & it wasn't that cold in there. There was a good mix of people on a cold day & that says something. The service was good..no complaints there...the coffee was tasty rather than having a burnt aftertaste.. Wasn't wow'd...

This what a local southern diner looks like. I doubt it gets any more local than this place. It has been in business since 2003 or so. Yes, I asked. We went around lunch time. After we sat and ordeired the beverages we walked up to the buffet and a nice lady plated our food for us. They have good food but it's a little over salty. Service is great. They do have breakfast and we plan on visiting for that on a Saturday morning. Definitely worth a visit. I do wish they had more chicken options as well. And they have a private dining area for events too

I CANNOT Express enough how AMAZING this spot is for Sunday Lunch/Early Dinner bc they close at 2 I believe. Good Home cooked food always have a Buffet on Sunday the Salad Bar is so fresh and excellent homemade ranch, always have fried chicken which is perfect every time, country style steak&gravy with rice or mash potatoes, meatloaf and usually another meat sometime chops, turkey etc. You also MUST have the homemade Peach Cobbler. Yall im a server and Robin puts me to shame she remembers me from jst the few times I've gotten to come bc usually im serving on Sundays she is always an absolute pleasure, and the ladies serving the buffet are so special and so helpful. SERIOUSLY COME HERE. DELICIOUSE HOME COOKING AND PERFECT SERVICE EVERYTIME!...
