Never go to tacobell unless you have already ordered/paid online before hand and picked up your order in the drive thru (they make it once you get there or should). Why do I say this? Well it seems most of the local tacobell locations (including the one off of W Franklin) want to nickle and dime the customer (overcharge) for what their food/combos are actually worth.
I ordered (as usual for me) one of their 12 taco party supreme packs (hard shell) which usually rings up at $21 to $23 (I know still overpriced), however they rung it up as $29 and that was by itself. That is a whole 1/3rd extra then it actually cost, especially compared to what I usually pay for it (just 2 weeks ago it was this price). I cancelled my first order at the (W Franklin location) once I saw the price and decided to try this location a few miles down the road. They gave me the EXACT same price here as well.
Let me break down how they will get you with these ridiculous prices. They rung my order up as a NORMAL taco party pack (not supreme which adds sour cream and tomato) which is $18 (the supreme is $21), they will then charge you 70 CENTS to put sour cream on each taco. So that $18 quickly rose to $29 freaking dollars. They will do this even if you repeat the SUPREME party pack. Why are you charging customers this much when the SUPREME party pack is $23 by itself and already has the sour cream and tomato added? Why would anyone ever think paying $8 dollars just to put a little spoon full of sour cream on your tacos is ever worth it? I can get 2-3 FULL containers of sour cream at the local grocery stores to that cost and we all know a chain like TB gets it even cheaper.
I know TB is a fast food chain that can be hit or miss (like every other fast food place) but this is just low, especially given the recent inflation of everything else on the rise. I could understand $1-2 price hike given the economy but $8....like come on. I have been getting TB for over a decade and this one experience will have me second guessing myself next time I want something quick to eat (or I will make sure my orders cost is correct ONLINE before picking up my food.
To end this little rant. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars and not lower is because I have no ill will towards the service itself because I know retail/customer service jobs are not easy, even if the person ringing it up may have caused the problem. I have never had this issue ordering online so I would recommend everyone to do that if you actually want the menu prices on certain items and to not be...
Read moreFor a Taco Bell, I've always had decent service and speed at this location. Today, I'm motivated to post a review because the petty level was way higher than it needed to be. I'm a new rewards member and want to get the most of the app. Generally,I'll just try it and delete but why not try?? Prompted with the generic question at the drive up speaker, I answered yesterday, I'm a member. The voice said, okay, go ahead. Again, new to this, so I went ahead with my order. Not repeated back, just any sauce? Cool, it wasn't complicated,so I pull up. The girl at the window says the amount, takes my card, and runs it. I asked if she needed the check in number and she said, "it's too late." This is confusing because at no point did she ask for the number. She repeated our initial conversation to which I said, "go ahead" means go ahead with your order to my ears.... But again, cool, whatever. She hands my card and receipt then turns away to grab my food. She comes back and thrusts my bag at me, to which I said thank you and pulled away. Imagine my sheer delight when the hard shelled Taco on top is broken into pieces and leaking juice all over the quesadilla and paper bag.
Food is good, service is questionable. If they're having a rough day before lunch hour even gets going, your tacos may face their wrath..... Be warned.
And be sure you spit out your check in number at the earliest possible moment because it's 100% your responsibility to know what they're asking for without clarification. If you decide to try the app. Still not sure if I'll keep it, though you do have the benefit of scanning...
Read moreI think I've reviewed this Taco bell before, but I'll be glad to do it again! Last time I gave this Taco Bell a 5 star rating and it was due not just in part of the care they took with the food, but mostly with their service. This time though I have to dock a star and I hate to do that to such a nice fast food establishment. The missus and I love taco bell and decided to go in; now this story is partly the mistake of the company, and a little part on myself and less so the physical establishment or it's crew. I say that, because I used the ordering Kiosk and it did not go through their system. They looked and looked for my order, but after I paid and showed them where it was deducted on my bank account they still couldn't find it. By then I had forgotten what I had ordered. To make matters worse I didn't get a receipt. THAT was my fault and I humbly regret not doing that. SO, for those of you who are afraid to use the kiosk, don't be! Just make sure you get a receipt and all can be amended. As far as the food goes, while it is fast food and the quality may not always be that of the commercials they show, it IS always tasty, and the team there is friendly, but you need to also be friendly as a customer. Your attitude can greatly affect the people you...
