Leo's Coney Island — Restaurant in Genoa Charter Township

If I could give negative stars, I would. We ordered via Door Dash, and when we pulled up to pick up our order, at 9:03pm, both open signs were still on. As I was running to the doors, to get the food, they turned off the signs and locked the doors. As I was trying to motion to them that all we needed to do is pick up our food, 2 girls shook their heads "No" , while laughing. A cook from the back came out and just watched us... I called the Coney Island to let them know that all we had to do was pick up our food and they said they were sorry that they were closed, that they already cashed out the drawer. I let them know that I already paid through Door Dash, and it wouldn't affect the drawer. The girl just kept saying that she was sorry they were closed. She said that her manager wouldn't let her open the door. So they wasted food, lost money (once we get the actual refund) and lost business. In order to get the refund, Door Dash said I need to call the merchant. I will be doing that tomorrow because I spent over $70.00. What a waste. They spent more time and energy avoiding me and my calls than they would've if they had just opened the door and handed me my food. Dumb. Big...

I'm afraid Leo's lost a good customer last night. A group of us have been going to the Howell Leo's on Grand River after work on a Saturday for the last few months and there is generally a party of 7-10 of us. Last night we arrived at 9.30 pm (they close at 10.00 pm) and was told by the waitress that the manager said we could eat but we had to eat quickly and leave and not sit there talking and if we did not order in 30 seconds service would be carry out only. Well Leo's if I wanted fast food I would go to McDonalds or Wendy's drive thru. This is not our first issue with this Leo's one night we were done eating before 10.00 pm only to find out that the only person besides us in the place was the bus boy and he had no idea how to take our money seems the manager had decided to give the wait staff a ride home. I left my business card with a message and return the next day to pay my $75.00 + tab. If you don't want customers ordering food at 9.30 pm then close earlier.SHAME,...

Be aware Entrance is to Right side Of Building as you drive in!! Not front side. Seniors save your steps... Plenty of parking ..extra in back .. Great staff, we had best waitress.. we were meeting friends from as far away as Dryden Michigan driving in a 1 1/2 hours away I was over 45 minutes away but we came to meet our local friends who live in Howell. Staff allowed me time to find the best table..for 5. I explained to them the situation I didn't know how many would fit and they said don't worry we'll add chairs.

We had a wonderful time the food tasted good, the breakfast was more than ample, food priced on point.

We gladly tipped higher for the over and above cheerful service...thanking them for being patient for our last arrival was hour late from Almont.

Our local friends suggested " let's do this again". I am hoping for another breakfast meet up..I'm 45 min to hour away but...
