My family visited tonight for dinner on 08/06/2021. From the moment you walk in the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting and definitely family friendly. You get started with free chips and two salsas. My family preferred the flavors of the mild. There wasn't too much flavor in the other one. We ordered beef taquitos, beef chimichangas, and beef tacos. Chicken was and option but I guess we all wanted the same flavors. The food looked great. Served hot and fast. The rice and beans were flavorful and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. Unfortunately, none of us really liked the flavor of the beef. It was bland and had a strange texture that my girls couldn't get past. The Manager came over and to our surprise they remade the ENTIRE ORDER only with chicken!! This is the type of customer service you don't see any more. I wasn't expecting anything for free... But if we were local we would certainly be back just based on the service alone. We will try the chicken tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be tasty. Atmosphere is great... The food was okay. **** The chicken was much better!!****

Not the greatest food or experience. Nothing was particularly bad, but there was nothing really very good, either. They brought chips and salsa for the table, but I've never seen a restaurant so stingy with the salsa. When I asked for more, they looked at me like I was crazy. The server literally kind of threw food and drinks on the table as she walked by, already looking elsewhere before her hand was off the plate and walked away. The drinks even sloshed out of the glass once. My carnitas tasted like they had something tangy, like BBQ sauce, in them. I love carnitas, and there's tasted more like pulled pork that was in the slow cooker instead of being braised. This was my second trip there and the first wasn't much better. It's ok, but nothing great, and there are much better options in Georgetown.

Recently visited Pepe's Mexican restaurant and was totally blown away on how good the food was. I went in thinking it's your typical Mexican restaurant all tasting similar, but i was wrong. Just when you think you found your favorite another takes its place. I had a combo platter with a beef taco and beef Chimichanga. The chimichanga was seasoned and flavored perfectly... the best i have ever had. Another cool point was that this place was decorated for Halloween, and it looked awesome! All types of decor, i wish i had taken a picture , and the staff were dressed up too. Please follow and like for more reviews

Our go to restaurant with the kids. The food is always hot, fast and delicious. The staff is super energetic and they don't linger there at the table looking to chit-chat with you about the weather or your shoes etc. They provide what you need when you need it and they do it FAST and with a smile. Pepe's is the Best! Their queso is better than any place else and our kids always order it with French fries and a cheeseburger. They provide kids menus with crayons and there are always plenty of napkins at the table without having to ask for them. (Don't you hate that?) If you're looking for a delicious low carb option check out the Pollo Loco(lunch menu). It's delicious, filling and because it is super low carbs you can eat it ALL! My husband almost always has a fajita quesadilla which I've had many times as well. Whether you choose chicken, beef or both it is sure to please your palate. It comes with rice, beans, lettuce, diced tomatoes and sour cream. The fajitas are simply amazing and they're portions are always quite generous. Everyone gets free endless chips and salsa(OMG..the SALSA it is yummo! Praise God for salsa made with fresh chopped cilantro!) are the best as well! Pepe's has a nice bar for those that drink and a lovely patio for those who prefer to eat outdoors. Go. Just go! You...

I moved to Georgetown from South Texas in 2018. I have been to this location a multitude of times since then, I could give a consistent visitation of 6 times per year counting my visit today 9/29/2021.

When I first started coming here, in 2018, the rice and beans tasted like something my grandmother cooked up. Whoever they had in the kitchen handling that was amazing. I judge a lot of Mexican restaurants by their rice, beans, tortillas & salsa.

At some point their salsa, rice and beans recipe or prep changed, the tortillas are still good.

The atmosphere here is very welcoming. You are greeted from the moment you walk in the door and the servers are friendly although sometimes they disappear on you even when it looks dead inside.

The food always comes out hot, I have not run into an instance where myself or anyone I know has had lukewarm/cold food served to them. The parking lot and interior is always clean and we'll maintained and restrooms never look like armageddon.

In general I would give them an overall positive score for the food and the experience. I wish they would go back to their old version of the rice, beans and salsa they serve but I know times change and food workers move on to...

Called ahead to see if they could accomodate gluten allergy.

Woman on phone seemed to be well versed in food allergies (she wasnt aware of cross contamination- they drain their oil every night and fry chips 1st thing in the morning, so she says they're GF, but they don't clean the fryer).

Upon arrival the hostess told us she would seat us with a server who understood and we could ask/talk to. The server who helped us to begin with seemed knowledgeable. Then they switched servers (ours went home) and while the new server acted like he understood and went over everything (they kept saying to change the tortillas to corn, over and over), I stupidly thought they did.

I understand accommodating a food allergy is a pain in the butt. I understand the RISK of cross contamination and error when eating anywhere that isn't specific allergy friendly. I have been to numerous places that cannot safely accommodate and I'll go elsewhere. But when a restaurant acts like they are comfortable with what you're asking and explain the ways they can make it ok and then flat out serve you what you're allergic to, that's a problem.

Do NOT chance here if you have food allergies, no matter how...
