I have NEVER had this type of experienced at a restaurant, I stopped by Arby’s located at 2161 Roswell Road Marietta, Ga. 30062 when I approached the counter the employee named Sume was at the register, when I placed my order I kindly asked if the mozzarella sticks can please be a fresh hot order, Sume stated “that’s the only way we make them what else do you want” I stated fries, so her behavior became obvious to me she was enthused with taking my order because she kept saying “ what else do you want” she made me feel uncomfortable once my order was ready my crinkle fries was drenched in salt and the mozzarella sticks was cold on the inside I asked if my order can be remade correctly she took tray out my hands and me to “ go have a seat” as if I was a child her behavior was rude unkind and far from professional I also noticed this particular location the customers that was dining in and being served was all white and I was the only black person inside which didn’t make me feel unacceptable however Sume sure made me feel this was way, so therefore I will no longer be a customer at this location due to the service I received from Sume. Read moreThe only downside of this visit was having to pick up my mobile order inside and the unwelcoming tone used at the speaker to request I do so. After announcing I was there to pick up a mobile order, I received a simple, yet curt “you need to come inside.”
While the request could have been friendlier, what bothers me more is that the store chooses to inconvenience the customer. What is the purpose of making them come inside?
Shouldn’t a call ahead order, have the same spot in the queue as if the order was placed in the drive-thru in real time? And isn’t it safer for everyone to utilize drive-thru pickup by minimizing contact and hindering COVID transmission; not to mention, the alternative to drive-thru pickup could be to make the crew bring the order out to my car thereby...
