We went for the first time and read the reviews. I have been wanting to go to a good Italian restaurant and they had stuff shells which I love.we arrived restaurant very clean and nice, the hostess friendly and sat us in a booth. Waitress was very nice and alert. The garlic bread excellent and so soft.we order lasagna and stuff shells, they come with garlic bread and a salad. Salad was great and fresh.Atmosphere was family with children, except the place is open and not divided except for where the bar is. And you do get screaming, running around kids which was annoying. We received the entrees they looked ok the stuff shells has a small amount of tomato sauce but they looked over cooked and the lasagna looked like it was sitting for a while. But when taking a bite it was disappointing, the sauce was tasteless, no garlic, oregano, oil, salt, pepper nothing. The shells were rubbery and had to use a nice to cut them with ricotta cheese which was bland. I didn’t see who was cooking but it wasn’t someone with Italian know how. It. The lasagna no taste what so ever. When they see this they have to sauté their sauces for these dishes and the noodle dishes. This is not Italian food. Now saying that doesn’t mean I won’t come back, I will give them a try again and next time I will order their pizza, but if the sauce has no flavor I’m done. The prices are good my cost $12.99 which included the salad and bread. Prices are fair, but I felt like they opened a can of tomato sauce heated up and threw it on the entrees, and they threw in a small amount where half the shells were not covered.they have to do better with flavor, who ever is cooking get a cook book and learn spices. Italian foods have spices to bring out flavors and none of the entrees had any. And they need to not over cook the shells to get them rubbery. It wasn’t pleasing. The people are nice and the service are very quick and good, but lord spice up the dishes and pizzas for me to come back next time. I do not eat bland foods.. I hope they see this and consider it. But overall everything...
Read moreWent here recently for a family member's birthday. Being from New York, I know a good Italian spot when I see it, starting with the garlic knots. When looking for good knots, you wanna see them smothered, but the ones from here were terribly dry, and not spongy or "pull-apart" able at all. The jalapeño poppers were all right, but they were served with, I think thousand island dressing? A little unconventional, but it worked out alright. The house salad was nice, and why I think the food deserves 2 stars instead of one. The house vinaigrette was wonderful. For my entree, I had the eggplant parmesan, which was, ok. Not the most flavorful thing I've had, and the side of pasta (that you pay an extra 2 dollars for if you want Alfredo like I did), was pretty bad. Dry and wet at the same time, and I had to drown it in salt and pepper to get anything that even resembled flavor. The value for the food was amazing, but the quality definitely reflected the price. I would not come here again if I wanted things that were really edible. My partner got the chicken marsala, which, was the most flavorful thing I've had up until that point. Their side pasta was horrendous though, I wish I hadn't had any. The server, Baron, was the highlight of the entire trip. He was very patient, quick, and attentive to everyone at the table, and there were 6 of us, and some of us were a handful. He got us things as soon as he could after we asked, and did not make us feel bad even when some of us (not me), kept asking him for extra things because some of us (again, not me) don't gather their thoughts before asking for more things. The atmosphere itself was odd though. It looked like they were going for a nicer dining experience, while also giving a sports bar type vibe? Not the place for date night, bad food and weird atmosphere combined, but an ok place for a family wanting to get out the house and get their money's worth, if they're lacking a few taste buds. Personally...
Read moreFirst time coming to this restaurant and definitely the last time. They knew it was graduation and mothers day yet they were out of garlic Knotts ( bread) and shrimp. Especially when about 8 items include shrimp on the menu. Wanted to make this day was special for mothers day. To top it off, when we confronted the manager who stated she was the owner! She was rude and could tell she could care less about our complaint! They did nothing to make us feel like they appreciated our business and customer service was terrible! Guess that's how disabled Veterans are treated now days! Also brought out the complete wrong order for my wife on miters day. She doesn't even like spicy and they brought her a spicy dish instead of her blackened chicken Alfredo.. tips for the restaurant and waitress. 1. Tell your customer what your out of before taking there drinks! 2. When you give our customer a salad, before you walk away make sure there is silverware for the table. 3. When your family comes to eat, they want to eat together, so bring their food out at the same time not minutes later. On Mothers Day, make sure mom feel special don't mess up her order to where she is the last one eating. 4. Treat every customer as if they keep you in business, rather than making It feel like you could care less if you lose one table of customers! 5. Have a way to complain or complement other than saying your the owner and could really care less!! Lastly when you say I can substitute the shrimp your out of for octopus, make sure there is...
