DO NOT DO TAKEOUT AT THIS BUFFET THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
Now that I have your attention, I went to this buffet and a Male with glasses and goatee(White or Hispanic)stated to me the price for to-go was $6.99/lb and that is a DECEPTIVELY good deal. I grabbed 2boxes and I attached the photos below. Upon paying a Female with long dark hair and a white sweater jacket (White/Hispanic or Asian not sure) told me the price of approximately $32. When I asked why so much she states, hibachi was a different price and states seafood only has a different price. I stated well your male coworker over here didn’t tell me that he told me $6.99 per pound for everything. The female had a completely nasty attitude and was talking to me extremely disrespectfully when I asked the male employee what he told me he then repeated “ Is $6.99 per pound depending on what you get“ I said to him well that’s very deceptive because that’s not what you told me when I first came in you told me it was $6.99 per pound for everything. After I asked him a direct question of what he stated repeated it back to him of if you tell somebody the price is $6.99 per pound and you pay something different than the price that is told because you find out there is additional cost did lie. He did not answer the question directly, but stated that he was a new employee and then the Female (I assume some kind of manager) said oh you can get out we’re not giving you a refund. this is my second time being to this business and my first time when I went I sat down in Double. I enjoyed myself and I had a great time and in fact I even had my mother come in there and grab some food from them and she’s the one who told me about them having to go because she grab something to go and stated it was the same man who I spoke to today who rung her up. I believe in businesses charging Fair prices and would not have had a problem paying the price difference if that’s what was told to me upfront unfortunately that’s not what was set upfront and then when you were confronted about it, you referred back to your all sales or final and ask for me to leave. In customer service, The biggest factor of the business is service and unfortunately, this business did not provide good service nor did they choose to resolve any issues instead, they chose to essentially rip me off. going forward, they need to have clear signage stating what the dues and don’ts are if you decide to do takeout for the buffet, they also need to properly train. They are greeters on what to say when someone ask about doing a takeout for the buffet and finally, your management needs to have a better interpersonal skills and better problem-solving and resolution skills. Read moreMy server was very nice. The steak was burned and OLD. The fried shrimp was fried HARD and very inedible. I spoke to the manager and he said he would get new food on the bar. We were there around 7 pm. We waited for an hour for new food and only after making another complaint and mentioning a refund did he attempt to get us some fresh food. At 8:20 they brought food to our table as we were LEAVING. I was approved for a refund by the management at a different store and then denied. Martina spoke with someone and told me I had to return to this particular location. When I did return, Eric said he spoke with Martina who DENIED what she said to me. How insulting. I KNOW what she said clearly. We have spent (LITERALLY) thousands at this restaurant chain (other locations, Marietta and Douglasville over several years and NOW we are MORE THAN DISAPPOINTED. The servers are always great at all 3 stores but MANAGEMENT does not care about customer retention. I have NEVER asked for a refund or complained. This is a fairly new store (Austell Road)- do not eat there unless you want sub par food. There are other buffets in the areas who treat you with general respect. If you do go to Marietta location, just stay away from Martina. Bad manager. Not very honest. I would think the money we have spent there would be worth a small refund for not being able to eat their food. They did bring food to our table but only as we were leaving after over an hour. The money we would have spent in the future far outweighs the $15.00 refund requested. I still paid for 2 other adult buffets and a child. Read moreWe use to go to the Atlantic Buffet in Douglasville before they opend this one in Austell. At first it was ok, then they changed management and it started going down hill. And last night is the last time going here. We had a couple of bad experiences over a year ago with the service and especially the food quality. So after not going for a year we decided to try one more time. It was terrible. The parking lot looked like a garbage dump. It was even dirty all the way up to the entrance doors. And just about as bad inside. The floors around the tables and bar had food and trash around them. And the food! Especially the seafood has gotten to the point, I won't eat it. I know it's frozen but for it to taste old and spoiled is too much! The blue crabs and crawfish are so tiny they are not worth spending time trying to get the meat out of to eat. Some people that doesn't know what good quality food taste like. This may be ok with them because for two people at a Buffet to eat for $34.00 isn't bad. But I'll pay twice as much for food that have good flavor and most of all doesn't taste freezer burnt, old and spoiled! Owners you need to get more involved of your business especially the cleanliness and quality of the food you are serving instead of buying cheap outdated seafood for better profits.
