This location currently has an add on for shrimp. The sign on the drive-thru menu said if they don't offer the add-on that you get it for free.
The person took my order and inquired if that was all. I said yes. They advised me to pull around. I mentioned that they didn't offer the add on. The man said I didn't wait long enough and they make the offer at the window.
That makes absolutely no sense to me. As much as DT windows are con admit wait times and efficiency, why soupy you wait to make an offer at the window? You would have to add the otherness to the ticket and then also wait for the item. All of that will hold up the line.
When I made it to the window there were 2 "gentlemen". I heard the man in the back advise the cashier, "You have to slow down."
The first thing the cashier said was "Do you want the shrimp or not?" I advised him "Yes, but you didn't offer it so it should be free". The man behind him said " You should have waited, we offer at the window!" I then asked, since when are add-ons introduced at the window. Previously if I forget to mention something you guys are agitated that I didn't say it at the box but you want to make an offer at the window?"
Because they were being so rude I asked for a supervisor. The man in the back said he was. I then asked for a general manager. He said he was that too. The cashier gave me the order and I asked for extra tarter sauce. We had (2) 3batter dipped orders and they tend to only give 2 sauces. I always ask for extra. They told me the sauce was already in the bag. We had a bunch of cocktail sauce but only one tarter sauce. He eventually gave me additional sauce.
I asked them who I could speak to other than him because he was being rude. He told me to go to captainds.com.
The man that claims he was management told the cashier to close the window on us.
I called the number on the receipt and noticed the voice of who answered the phone as the man claiming to be management. I asked for his name he said it was Leo Smith and then immediately hung up.
We usually frequent this location regularly despite their slow service. This interaction was enough that we probably won't return. The man that claimed to be management didn't even take time to hear my concern or politely educate me on their operation. I just still don't believe it's proper procedure to ask to add an item at the window. They just didn't want to acknowledge they missed the opportunity and give the free item as promised on the menu...
Read morePoor experience thru the drive thru when I called the person on the phone started off on the defensive when I asked for the name of the employee working the drive thru come to find out it was supposedly the general manager or so he stated he was. Very unprofessional he screamed at my mother in law as I observed in the back seat he took our order then after taking the time he took our payment, then decided he didn’t want to serve us and put the card on our window and closed the window. If the owners of this establishment are ok with turning away money you might aswell close the doors. Managers are supposed to make sure the restaurant is running efficiently and making a profit. Turning away business is not the way to ensure the business can continue to run. Who knows how many times this has happened. This happened last Monday 2/20/22 I submitted a complaint but it went no where so I am making sure that anyone who reads this will think twice about visiting this location.
Update the owner asked me to respond via their portal with no response from them they care about protecting their employees and not holding them accountable think twice before visiting this location the staff including the general manager does not care if they loose a sale well they have lost more than a single sale all future sales from my entire family and will let others know how we were treated it’s not like this is a isolated incident I have reviewed other complaints in the...
Read moreOkay. About three weeks ago on a Sunday... I went to this location, got a 10 piece family meal... food was hot, fresh, and the cashier was great, no problem. This evening, 01/19, I came with the same order. Young light skinned guy with an Afro took the order and I started to tell what condiments I would need and he cut me off stating, “Tell your condiments at the window.” That’s fine. Get my order... check the bag and it’s like 5 vinegars in the bag... literally. The young lady at the window was either new or couldn’t concentrate with the two guys standing behind her cause she asked me for my order agin when I got to the window. I pulled off and thought I’d just let it go. But I really needed some tartar sauce. I pulled back around, waited, and when the young lady came back to the window, I informed her that I came to get some sauces and she came back to the window with (2) tartar sauces to go with my 10 piece meal. It’s raining heavily so I decided to just leave instead of going back and forth with CHILDREN. Long story short: be sure to have condiments at home. Hope the...
