Wow. Great consistently and quality. Feelings run strong when people talk about barbecue. Some people want subtle smoke, others want a campfire in their mouth. Some people want to dry rub, others want slathered in sauce. This place creates loyal fanatics. Here's a great little story of our visit with our daughter. She complained on the way over that someone (who shall remain nameless) told her that it smelled smoky. So, she complained all the way there. When we walked in the door, she proclaimed, "This place smells (and her face lit up with a big smile) LIKE BACON!" When our food arrived she dug into her chicken but wasn't eating her coleslaw. So I pretended to take it from her. She gave me an indignant look and took it back and took a little bite. Then she looked at it and took another bite. The she picked up the bowl and dug in until she eventually turned the empty bowl on her face to get the last bits. My wife won't let me turn the bowl onto my face but it is tempting. I love the beef ribs when they're available. When they aren't, I'm partial to the chopped brisket. Or ribs. I'll eat the rest of the kids chicken if my wife isn't looking. I love the coleslaw too. And the sweet potatoes with kale. The black eyed peas with rosemary work for me too. My wife and kids think that the mac n cheese is amazing. In the south, bbq is more than food, and this is one of our favorites. We eat there as often as we can and use them for. Catering parties.

Take out dinner for 2 We could smell the barbecue as soon as we walked in the restaurant. As we approached the front counter, we were greeted warmly. In fact, all the staff we came in contact with were very friendly. We reviewed the menu, which offered a wide selection, including various sides. While the prices appeared somewhat on the expensive side, we hoped the taste would justify the cost. Wifey ordered the Pulled Chicken Sandwich with a side of coleslaw, and I opted for the Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs with coleslaw. The lady who took our order advised us to arrive early for dessert as they tend to sell out by 5 PM. While waiting for our food, I couldn't help but notice the spacious indoor dining room, which was relatively empty, with only a few tables occupied by patrons. The whole restaurant itself was very clean, including the restroom. I don’t remember it taking very long before we were told that our food was ready. We packed everything up and headed home, and by the time we arrived, our meals were still warm. Wifey thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich, and I loved my ribs, which were tender and practically falling off the bone with excellent flavor. We are definitely planning to return in the future. 4.5 rating

If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. Extremely disgusting. Let’s start with the macaroni and cheese, it was SOAKED in butter. (See pic) Blueberry “bread pudding “ looked like they just served something from a few days ago that they unwrapped from a package. Hard exterior and cold on the inside. The potato salad was SUPER BLAND needed Salt and pepper packs and it was still GROSS!!! The banana pudding is so evident that it was made with a box jello pudding mix it’s disgusting to think they are charging $4.25 for a tiny cup from a BOX pudding!!! The brisket sandwich was filled with dry brisket even after asking for moist fatty pieces of brisket. Sweet tea is a disgrace to southern sweet tea culture. The ribs were ok but that’s putting it nicely. I ate here after a long morning appointment at the local VA hospital so I was super hungry but I made a HUGE mistake by eating here. Everyone who is saying these items are good are truly messed up. It is enabling this restaurant to continue to serve HORRIBLE food and thinking their product is good. (Which I am sure they know this and just don’t care) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this place! I am from Texas so I know real BBQ and this is ABSOLUTELY NOT REAL BBQ!

This was some of the best bbq I’ve had so far in Georgia. Before coming to Community Q, I haven’t had anything near as good as the BBQ in Texas, KC, or St. Louis, but this was very solid. It closes the gap. The brisket was very tender and flavorful. The two sauces at the table were also great. One was a sweeter sauce and the other was vinegar based. The pulled chicken and pork were not dry at all and had great smoky flavor. The sausage was also excellent. The sides were not lacking either. I very much liked the Brunswick stew and the sweet potatoes. The mac and cheese and potato salad were not as good in my opinion, but other reviewers seemed to really like the Mac and cheese, so it probably comes down to personal preference. Overall, if you’ve been disappointed with the ATL bbq scene or just want a solid place to get some smoked meats and quality sides, I’d give this place a try.

This is a little hole in the wall spot and it was amazing! Hubby and I both ordered their brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and collard greens. The brisket was super tender, the mac was nice and cheesy and the greens were shockingly good! They also had this vinegarette stuff on the tables that when mixed with their BBQ sauce gave the perfect tangy taste to the meet. The staff was very pleasant and our food was ready fast. If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend checking this place out!

No frills FANTASTIC BBQ My kids introduced me to Community Q while attending Emory. First time back in since COVID and I have to say, even better than I remembered. Just got the ribs and I have to say better or as good as I have ever had. Cooked with a sweet rub and vey lightly sauced. No need to add anything. Just eat as they come. As the saying goes, “Try it, you’ll LIKE it”. More like LOVE it!
