Update 01/27/2024 - they don't take cash. I will never go back.
We had not been to Culver's Grovetown, Georgia since before the plandemic. Decided on a whim to go there this past Saturday. Because Cheese Curds!
When we walked in there were many employees hard at work. We were waiting for someone to take our order when Jalea walked by and noticed us. She was hard at work helping another employee attend to the refuse receptacles in the dining room. She stopped what she was doing and went behind the counter and took our order. Impressive. Polite. Attentive. Professional.
We went to the dining room to have our seats.
While waiting, here come Jalea again. This time with samples of some food offering it to guests. When a guest asked for a specific sample of a product, she went to the kitchen and retrieved it for them.
Our food was delivered to the table quickly and Evan asked if we needed or wanted anything else.
We didn't order our Concrete Mixers until we were done eating our meal. This was handled quickly by yet another employee. Polite, professional and efficient.
This review was prompted by Jalea and her attitude and work ethic. But while waiting for our desserts, we were observing the other employees. Watching their interactions.
While we were waiting we were asked no less than 4 times by separate employees if we needed to order or needed anything they could help with. We saw employees constantly moving, constantly working. No one was idle. No one was on their phone. They were attentive and busy. They helped each other, they held each other accountable, offering advice and recommendations on completing their tasks. They were smiling. Not just for guests but at each other while working.
I am not sure what the management team is doing at Culver's Grovetown, GA but they need to bottle that up and send it to 95% of the other service industry! Not only was the food as good as expected, but the environment was absolutely a pleasure to watch. Cleanliness was above reproach. Just a quality restaurant that I have a hard time referring to as "fast food" based on the other restaurants available in that niche.
Simply fantastic experience in every way, shape or...
Read moreThis was my first time dining here & it was a good experience. We were warmly greeted upon entering. The dining area was clean, for the most part with the exception of a few long spider webs extending above your head & dusty vents, which is why I rated it as ok. Table service is provided after placing your order, you make your own soft drinks; they make your shakes & other frozen/ice cream like drinks. The drink fountain needed to be refilled with syrups- no one ever tested to see if drinks were well stocked. The food is freshly made ypon ordering. The menu pictures do not look like what you will receive on your tray😮. The burgers are quite thin but tasty. The employees seem genuinely concerned about your satisfaction your meal as well as the taste, which is demonstrated by their checking with you a few times after you receive your food & to remove your tray from the table for you. It is of my opinion, given the contact they have with the customers & amount of time spent in the dining room, spider webs nor no or low syrup/flavor for the soda dispenser should not be an issue, especially when the restaurant wasn't crowded, as was the case when I was there. The spider web I observed had been there for awhile, as had the dusty vents. The decor is nice & inviting; however, details like this serve to compromise the experience. Overall, I will give them another try & would recommend this place to anyone who wants a fresh meal without the McDonald's experience. The burgers are comparable to Steak & Shake, but better tasting; no comparison on the fries as Culver's get a ☆ here. They offer other menu items that you hardly see or offered in other restaurants. It's an upgraded Steak & Shake with a better quality all the way around. Thank you for reading my review. I hope that I have...
Read moreThe food is good, the service is just awful. We keep going back because of the food, but have finally had to say, enough is enough. There is one guy there who has a prosthetic arm who is very nice, but outside of him it's like everyone is upset to be there. They move slow and act like they're doing you a favor. Also, they should close their drive through because it's not a drive through. It's an order and park. Also, if you order a sundae or anything like that in the drive through, prepare for your cup to be about 2/3's full. Yesterday, after waiting 20 minutes for my food I pulled back around to get a refund. Food still wasn't done and didn't get much more than an I'm sorry from an overwhelmed teenager who took another 5 minutes to get me a refund. I had tried to flag down the teenage boys as they were delivering food to other vehicles, but they pretended not to notice me. Really wish this place was better because the food is good, but the service is worse than McDonald's.
Also, I wish they'd stop playing Christian music. If you can't even be nice and polite, don't put yourself out there as a Christian business. Keep it...
