Many years ago we used to get pizza from here occasionally but stopped going when it started to always taste burnt and the server told us it was because they didn’t clean the oven near enough. Years later, we thought we’d give it another try. It will be many more years before we try it again.
Our server was very nice and pleasant, but that’s about where the good part ends. The chicken in the pasta was shredded, very sparse, and tasted funny. The wings were mostly undercooked and rubbery. The fries tasted like they hadn’t changed the oil since the last time we were there. They were awful.
It really seems more like a bar for regular customers and they just happen to serve some food to anybody dumb enough to walk in to the place.
MESSAGE REGARDING MANAGER RESPONSE:
The chicken you serve may be 100% chicken breast, but it still had a funny taste, when you could find it in the dish. Even your server had to squint and look for it when we asked why there was no chicken.
The wings may never be frozen, but when you undercook them (or more likely, fry them in old oil), they will still be rubbery. You may cook them to order, but a customer should be able to assume they don’t need to order them “not undercooked and rubbery”.
The fries may be cut from fresh potatoes which cook differently than the bag fries that most restaurants serve, but when you fry them in old oil, they still taste terrible. They were very limp and undercooked, as well.
You think you remember clearing our table, but you did not. The fine server you have there did. My wife and I even commented that she made sure we didn’t need anything twice but seemed afraid to ask how the food was. You are obviously thinking of another table because my wife did not finish her meal and I only ate about four fries. There was a lot of food left.
I also stand by my statement that it feels more like a bar that serves food on the side. While I’m sure you are much busier on other nights of the week, on our night, there were more people at the bar than in the seating area.
I appreciate you saying that you’d like us to come back and you’d make it worth our while, but I can’t imagine how you could possibly do that. Even a free meal would not be worth it. (I do want to reiterate that your server was...
Read moreI hate to be like this, but this is genuinely some of the worst food I've ever eaten. My husband ordered the burger, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was basically like the burger you would get from the cafeteria in elementary school, if not worse. Seriously horrible. I noticed my husband wasn't eating it so I asked him about it and he was just like "this is terrible." I asked him to let me take a bite thinking maybe he was exaggerating, and he was definitely not exaggerating. It was genuinely the worst burger I've ever tasted in my life, it was like it wasn't even real meat.
I got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which I admit was a mistake on my part because I knew there was no way that place was about to serve some good fettuccine Alfredo. It was I guess better than the burger, but that's not saying much at all, and for $18 I could've had a better meal literally anywhere else, like we really should have just picked up fast food. The Alfredo sauce basically tasted like nothing and there was like 3 pieces of the tiniest, worst quality pieces of chicken I've ever seen.
I hate it because the waitress was a nice lady but for $50, there was literally no way I could leave them one extra dollar, and it took everything in me to even pay the amount on the bill, because I really feel like no one should have to pay for that, especially not that much money. I'm not giving ya'll extra money for school cafeteria food. Seriously, it was so bad. Don't waste your money.
To top it all of, they had the nerve to have a sign hanging that said "Da Vinci's is not fast food, your patience is appreciated." Lol, yeah it's not fast...
Read moreI wanted to try this place out for a while. So on Father's day I went to the nail salon next door and thought, great opportunity to order pizza from the app and pick up on my way home. I placed my order online. Received a confirmation text it would be ready in 25 mins. When I got there( 40 mins after I ordered), first of all everyone stared at me like I walked in " the wrong place". Then the guy behind the counter asked me what I wanted, and I told him I ordered a cheese pizza. He looked around, confused. Then, a lady walked towards the register, and I told her I made the order online. She grabbed a tablet and said oh we just got it. I asked how because I placed an order 40 minutes ago she replied, "Yeah, looks like our tablet wasn't charged." She asked me to give it 7-10 minutes but never apologized, She made it seem like it wasn't their fault. When how do you run a business and don't check if the tablet where the orders are coming through is charged? Anyway so I walk out with my pizza 10 minutes later, I get in the car and i'm hungry so I want to try a slice. The pizza was crunchy like crackers and burnt, taste was awful. The pizza never made it home. I stopped at a gas station and dumped it in a trash can. So yes overall the service was awful and so...
