We stopped here because it had been recommended to us. We went in with high expectations, they were not met. I suspect it has potential, but it wasn’t met today. When we walked in the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, there was a sign that said please wait to be seated, but there was no hostess upfront, and it took about five minutes for someone to walk up there. Another couple walked in about the same time that we did, they got tired of waiting for a hostess, and started walking towards the table only then did someone walk up from the back to sear us. It took some time for a server to get to us and she seemed distracted at best. We did get our drinks, which were simple coffee and ice water. It was probably 10 minutes before the server came back wrote a relatively simple meals, my wife ordered biscuits and gravy And I ordered two eggs over easy with sausage. I’ll be about 15 minutes after we placed our order, my wife’s biscuits and gravy, and my eggs were brought to the table. It took them another seven minutes to bring the sausage that I ordered with my eggs. Given how slow service was, I looked around to see what the issue because the restaurant was basically empty. Servers were concentrated around a station in the back of the restaurant and seem more interested in talking among themselves and work looking at their cell phones. After our food delivery was complete it was probably another 20 minutes before a server walked by to ask if we would like more coffee. The food was average, it might’ve been better had my order been delivered together. The service was lackadaisical. We will try it again because the place did seem to have potential, if the service staff were a bit more attentive I suspect our experience would have been significantly better.

We went to Eggs Up on New Year's day at 11:30AM. There was a wait due to the kitchen being backed up although the restaurant was at roughly 50% capacity. The hostess seems inexperienced and didn't take anyone's names for the wait list. The manager sat 3 tables who had 4-8 people in their party prior to seatin us (party of 2). It was an hour before we were seated. The wait staff were super nice. Our drinks came out right of way. It was another hour and 30 minutes before we got our food. The omlette was good. Grits were pretty congealed together like the consistency of old oatmeal. The flavor of shrimp & grits was on point. However, my over easy eggs were over done with a rubbery texture. The biscuit was raw and tasted like buttery flour. Not surprising since the kitchen was at least 8 tickets behind. The entire experience there took roughly 3 hours and 10 minutes. They had only been opened for a couple days. Will probably take some time to iron out the understaffed kitchen and develop a more effective workflow. The manager was apologetic to every other table except for ours. He spent extensive time chatting with numberous tables but never bothered to stop by ours the entire time we were there. Perhaps we were strangers. Perhaps we are just a couple of women. Who knows. We didn't see him at our table at all like he was all of the other tables. We like to support local businesses. Will probably wait a bit before giving Eggs Up another try. Keep on improving guys. We look forward to having a solid breakfast place in Berwick.

A Disappointing Experience I recently visited the restaurant with high expectations, hoping for a gourmet breakfast reminiscent of the wonderful meals I enjoyed with my husband in the past. However, my experience left much to be desired. After spending $30, which includes a $5 tip, I found myself having to prepare my own breakfast. The Eggs Benedict was subpar, and I've served better food at a homeless shelter. The sausages were overly spicy, and the bacon was undercooked. Unfortunately, the quality was so poor that I wouldn't even consider giving this food to my dog. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in quality, especially considering my initial excitement. Having supported local businesses throughout the challenging times of COVID, it's disappointing to see the standards fall so drastically. Regrettably, I won't be returning to this establishment, and I cannot recommend it to others.

Good place, (some) staff may be new or inexperienced. I never like leaving a bad review, but there was something really wrong happening when we went on Sunday 9/25/22. We arrived and they weren't busy but waited 5 minutes to be seated. We were seated and waited 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. Waitress was nice. We ordered out food and it was prepared in a normal amount of time but sat in the window for 4-5 minutes (my girlfriend was watching) before anyone picking it up to walk it 20 feet to our table. When we got it. My eggs Benedict were not runny anymore, borderline poached hard. My girlfriend's home fries were undercooked and a little crunchy like a raw potato type crunchy. On top of that, my girlfriend watched a waitress put a pot of coffee to fill under the big canister and start it filling and walked away to do something and never came back and the coffee pot started to overflow onto the table and onto the floor. My girlfriend yelled ma'am your coffee is overflowing and even then it took two or three yells to get their attention as to what was happening. My breakfast, in spite of the overcooked poached eggs, tasted good. The prices are reasonable, silver lining. I'll probably try them again in 6 months to see if the wait staff has improved. On side note. One thing I was impressed by is the "steak and eggs" breakfast was no more expensive than the other breakfasts. They give you a 6oz sirloin and priced it the same as all the rest. I like that. Nobody eats the steak and eggs at other restaurants either because it is too expensive or because they give you a piece of meat entirely too big for breakfast. They do it right...

After looking at the menu a few times, I decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday brunch. When we arrived it was only 5 other tables there. Server came and took our drink order. When we placed our food order, I asked for a side of toast to be out first and I also order the waffle sandwich. When the toast came up I sat and watch it sit in the window for the longest while the server was sweeping tables. Two other servers walked past it like it wasn’t their issue. I told my boyfriend if my sandwich comes up, I’m sending the toast back. Literally two minutes later my sandwich was in the window. She then tried to bring me the toast which I told her I didn’t want because I wanted to eat it while waiting for my food. She said sorry. Then she came back with me and my boyfriends food ( he had the cheddar burger ADD an egg) so that tells you how long my toast was up there. After dropping off the food, she NEVER came back over. My water sat half empty then all the way. We pushed my cup to the edge of the table but still no refill. After finishing our food, we pushed the plates to the edge and sat a timer. She was refilling condiments and cleaning. FOUR mins later she came and asked if we were ready. She never asked if the food was ok since she didn’t even do a two bite check back. Before we got up to leave, her table that was behind us had to remind her of theit drink that they had ordered right after we received our food. I was HIGHLY disappointed. As a former server, guest ALWAYS came first and teamwork was a big thing. Toast shouldn’t sit in the window when it’s two other servers walking past it. The food was EXCELLENT but that’s about it. Don’t see...
