I really debated between 3 or 4 stars because the food was great, but the experience not so much. My BF and I came here because I craving a Reuben and he lives close by, this was my first time here and his second. Starting out I ordered a beer and wasn't carded, I'm a bartender and know it is against the law to not card, regardless of how old someone looks. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip as our starter and it was a generous serving of dip, but only came with 6 pieces of toasted bread that were 2-3" long, not nearly enough to finish the dip with even though we loaded the dip on, so we asked the waiter for some more bread so we could finish the dip and were given 2 pieces, we had over half a bowl of dip left and 2 tiny pieces of bread wasn't going to cut it so we asked for some more bread and the waiter asked "how many do you think you need?" And honestly I didn't even know how to answer so my BF asked for a small bowl of chips to finish the dip with instead of us doing bread math. We got our entrees and everything tasted good. The check comes and I was quite surprised to see we'd been charged for the 2 extra tiny pieces of bread we'd asked for to finish the dip as well as for the chips. At no time were we told we'd be charged for these items that we only asked for so we could finish what we ordered in the first place and the dip itself was $13.50, the chips charge I can understand since that's a separate item, but we should've been informed. The amount we were charged isn't the issue, it's that we weren't informed we'd be charged extra for them and no one likes to feel nickeled and dimed. Overall the food was good, but the server was a bit aloof (it wasn't busy), and did not inform...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I had at a restaurant in a very long time. If I could give it zero stars i would. My place of business had a promo campaign, in which we had a local radio station to come host. The radio station host invited us out for bingo night on Thursdays. My coworkers and I were looking forward to great food & fun, we thought this would be the perfect outing. Boy were we wrong. I made a reservation for 20 people a week in advance. A few people from our party got to the restaurant 15 mins early & they were told we were not on the list. Then proceeded to say they had 2 reservations and both parties were already there. So still being optimistic my coworkers decided to wait since the hostess informed them it would be about a 30 minute wait. Long story short we stood for TWO HOURS playing bingo. Not one employee tried to accommodate us in any way. It was only 12 of us who showed up, some had children with them and some even came out of town on a week day. We never saw the waitress again after the first encounter. We were able to get a hold of another waiter that we asked to see the manager. He disappeared soon after. Then we call the owner the next day who proceeded to tell us that it was basically our fault that they didnât have the reservation that we made a week prior! Do your self a favor and do not bother eating at this place. It is a HUGE disappointment! This was such an a embarrassment to my organization. I will never come back and I will tell everyone I know about this experience. The employees here have awful attitudes and they do not value...
Read moreMy wife and I were having a wonderful day until we decided to give this place a 3rd try because the previous two times we enjoyed the onion rings. Today the wait staff told my wife to read the menu when my wife asked her if onion and tomato came on the fish sandwich. That started the downfall. As we placed our order the wait staff told my wife there would be an up charge to sub a salad for fries. We said OK. She didnât complain that her fish was cold and greasy because the waitress already seemed less than customer friendly with us. We received our bill before we did her eating only to find out the upcharge was $9.00 for a salad that would fit in a 6 ounce Dixie cup. We asked about the charge and she asked the owner and returned with the reasonâŠbecause my wife âadded extra cucumbers and tomatoes that is the price and it was rightâ. I have paid $9.00 for a salad that was a meal with many extra toppings. This is price gouging at its best. My wife submitted a review on google and the owner responded attempting to make it seem like it was our fault, adding âwe apparently wanted something for free and we were having a bad day.â We have traveled and eaten at world renowned restaurants as well as sports bars such as this one. Never have we been treated so gruffly. Needless to say, we will not be back. I hope the owner has a better day because he and his staff are not customer friendly. With the all-round attitudes we received today and the whispering among the waitstaff about this matter, itâs apparent as with any business, the customer service...
