The full dining experience at Seasons of Japan can only be described as conflicting. For starters, the food works. Aside from the fact that the chicken was a little too slimy for my taste and felt like a cannonball in my stomach, it was worth the price. The service was good enough, the cashier felt quite relatable when describing the fatigue she had accumulated over the course of her long shift, and my food was delivered quickly. So far, this restaurant sounds nice to the inexperienced, but now we have arrived at the segment of the review where I describe the atmosphere. The sheer polarity between the main dining area and the tucked away bathroom corner is profound. When eating your food, you are treated with slow jazz, nice plants, and comfortable seating. However, the hospitality fades when you approach the bathroom. The restroom is tucked away past a dark and musty hallway, the music cuts away and is replaced by the repetitive, unsettling beeping noise from a foreboding machine. I was naive to believe that my experience in the bathroom would go uninterrupted. A man knocked on the door multiple times despite me announcing my presence. I felt surrounded, powerless, and afraid. If I hadn’t just used the bathroom, I probably would have pissed my pants in fear.

This place is usually on point when it comes to the bowls. This particular day was not the case. The rice was overcooked and very much mushy. I could barely mix my meat up in the rice. I damn near bent the fork back trying to get the rice. The steak was not seasoned or cooked to my liking. I thought the sauce would help, but it did not. I just ended up throwing it away. All in all I would still try them again.

The monster roll was made with little to no care at all. The roll was cut into huge pieces sauce dumped all over the top and completely falling apart. Not appetizing at all. I will not come back to this location whatsoever.

This particular location has gone down! I've used the drive thru service as well as inside. This particular day, a Caucasian White guy opens the drive-thru window and his hair was blowing in the wind and maybe a fan that he may have had in there helped it to blow. Eventhough his hair was in a pony tail, hanging in the middle of his back with no net on blowing all in his face, everyone knows that hair flies! He looked VERY unclean and wasn't at all friendly, therefore, I changed my mind and did NOT order anything but the person that was with me did. She said, the food taste like it was reheated and wasn't fresh and hot like it used to be. Now here's the kicker. I went inside to use the restroom and as soon as I walked inside this place and I cringed. It was very unclean & dirty. Dirty as in, it needs to be shut down and wipe down and mopped with straight bleach and water. I proceeded to the ladies restroom and as soon as I walked in there, I no longer had to use it! I would not go back into this establishment again NOT even to wash my hands, let alone through the drive-thru ever again until they make some much needed changes. This place has gone down to the dumps. At one point, it use to be a line of cars in the drive-thru. But the last few times that I went through the drive-thru, I would drive right up to the window. And I thought it was because I got lucky and beat the crowd. Totally wrong, people don't come to this location anymore that is why I was able to drive right up the last few times. So from now on I'll drive 6-8 extra miles or more for good hot fresh food with a clean inside environment to the Abercorn or Pooler location of Seasons Of Japan. Oh I didn't mention that this locations core rating has went from a 100 to 88 and I see why. Unless you don't care about how cleanness or other unsanitary issues in a restaurant, then eat here. If you care, go to...

I don't like to give a bad review without trying to contact the place first, but their website, when it doesn't time out, doesn't have a way to contact them. My son and I stopped at the Berwick location on Saturday around 12:15. The place was completely empty, which should have been a sign, and the young man at the counter seemed as though we were bothering him by coming in. Not friendly at all. Tried ordering chicken, they were completely out. Ok, no big deal, stuff happens, right? We got our food quickly which would have been great except for the fact that it was cold. I don't mean lukewarm like it had been sitting under a heat lamp, that would have been an improvement, but seriously cold. Almost like it was from the night before and they took it out of the fridge and served it to us. I took one bite of my shrimp and was so turned off that I didn't eat the rest of the day. I would have asked for my money back but my 17 year old, who was starving, ate the cold meat off the top of his bowl and threw the rest away. The floor throughout the whole restaurant was super sticky and gross. I was really disappointed with this place, especially considering the one off of Hodgson Memorial and Eisenhower is...
