I live in this community, so of course it is my duty to support the businesses. I will say I like that I had several choices of food. So while I may not be happy the plantain is not cooked well enough, I am impressed with the curry chicken. UNFORTUNATELY after today I'll no longer support this establishment. Today Feb 2nd 2018 I experienced the worst customer service ever. A young light skinned, short died blonde haired lady was the hostess. She was very pleasant with the customer two people ahead of me. So I was able to at least witness her be a kind person. She was so nice to the lady ahead of me that she even introduced her to her child behind the counter at work with her. Once she got to me she just turned off her kindness and became so rude. I asked about a dish I'd never tried and wanted to venture out and try something new. Now I only had one customer behind me, very aware as to not holding anyone up. The hostess became very annoyed that I wasn't already informed on the new dish, cut me off and basically decided I was going to have curry chicken as I usually do. She slapped my food in the container with so much disdain for me. I decided not to go any further to keep from embarrassing myself or upsetting her more. I thought for two seconds and remembered the wonderful service I once received at JAMAICAN TASTE about four miles down Tara Blvd. I'm sitting here at Jamaican Taste now, pleased with the outcome of the service and delicious food. I'm not one to write reviews, and I don't want to see Fireside lose any business. But if this will help the owner of the establishment to emplement customer service training to its employees. They would be doing a great service to the customers that live near by and think of you when they want to feed their families. Do better Foreside, I'm...
Read moreI have loved coming to Fireside for the past couple of years. However, I had to amend my review today. Occasionally, the card reader at Fireside doesn't work amid they'll only accept cash or CashApp (neither of which I use) which has never been a problem before. Usually, they'd allow me to return by end of day with payment in cash when this happens. Today, after phoning the owner, an employee informed me that the owner would not accept Zelle. After driving to Jonesboro in the rain before work to get breakfast, it was disappointing to learn that the owner of the business would have liked for me to leave, drive to another establishment, withdraw cash, return to Fireside and collect my then cold breakfast. The employee was very apologetic. I declined politely and left. I've noticed lately that the staffing has changed so all faces are new to me, which isn't a problem as the service is still lovely but my family and I won't be taking the long drive to Fireside anymore, unless we're simply in the neighborhood and happen to have cash on hand - highly unlikely.
First Review A year ago: Had lunch here for the first time back in September of last year and I've been going to Fireside regularly. I practically live there! I've got to say the service is wonderful, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the restaurant is evidently clean, the menu is vast and all the food looks attractive and is decadently delicious! Additionally, I get great value for my money as the portions are hefty for the reasonable prices. I boldly recommend Fireside. I will continue to be a regular customer and I'm taking all my family and friends with me! So far, they're...
Read moreThis is approximately my 5th or 6th time coming to this restaurant. The food is always well cooked and tasty . However the service today ( 11/23/22 @ 10am) was awful ! I arrived and waited approximately 10 min for the cashier to come to the front . I heard the cook call for her about 3 times telling her a customer was at the front . When she finally came she looked right at me and didn’t have the courtesy to say “ I apologize about the wait “. I was at work and stepped away to grab some breakfast really quick , so having me wait and then to not even acknowledge it was very rude . So, yes my facial expression while she was preparing my food was not pleasant ! After I paid and she bagged my food up she told me to “ have a happy thanksgiving rude girl “ . I asked her to repeat herself and she said it again . I told her she should be mindful about her customer service before fixing her mouth to call me rude ! I asked to speak to the manger and the cook told me “ this happens all the time and that the manager was not in “. I will also say of the 5-6 times I have come here that same lady ALWAYS takes her time to come to the front . I understand her being in the back when no customers are present but once the cook called for her to come the front . She should not have customers waiting so long .. OR at least acknowledge the wait . Again , the food is good but that specific cashier makes your business horrible . Unbelievable. Again the cashier working today 11/23/22 @ 10am , please please speak to her about the importance of customer service. Without customer there is no restaurant and no restaurant means no...
