We were seated within a few minutes of arriving, wasn't really busy at all however it took about 20 minutes for someone to come by to take our drink order. We were ready to order after waiting that long but the waiter dashed off quickly after dropping off the drinks. Husband ordered Bud Light and said it tasted off and we seen on our receipt he was apparently given Michelob Ultra. Took about another 20 minutes to finally place our order, the wait for the food wasn't too long but when it did come it was cold, pork was pretty pink inside and questionable if it was cooked enough but our waiter never came to check on our table again. We sat around for quite some time waiting on the check, tried to get anyone's attention a couple times and finally my husband went up to the register to ask for a check and to pay. Overall we spent 2 hours here for a small lunch in a restaurant that didn't have many people dining, due to just downright no service. Wouldn't even call it poor service since we got none. I would be willing to try Poblano's again at one of their other locations just to see if their food and drinks are actually good when properly served and maybe having actual service. They definitely lose out on money in this regard too because had they checked on our table even once maybe we would have wanted to order another drink or dessert but waiting so long we just wanted to get out of there. Would not come to this...
Read moreA decent assortment of "Tex-Mex" &'authentic' dishes and combinations, including good-to-go Mexican based dishes like street tacos, chalupas, tostidos (with various meat selections), plus a really nice & cosy Mexican themed atmosphere, this is one of my wife's favorite places to go when we are in the mood for some nice, varied Mexican based fare. How crowded & how busy depends on the day & time you go, which, in turn, can affect service; however, even during the rush times when we have visited, the wait staff was always attentive to our needs: e.g. asking if we wanted a drink refill before we got even low. They have even taken time to dicuss the heat of the peppers they use for their Publanos - my wife has learned to be leery when asking for certain dishes ( we are spice 'heat' whimps! LOL!). Costs are mid-range, portions are plentiful, the meal comes with free fried corn chips & picante (which can also vary in heat, sometimes), and overall, a fairly decent place to go, though IMO, the food has been 'Americanized' a bit from the "true" thing one would find down in Mexico. That sort of difference makes no difference to me since as a traveler I respect and like any business I like. :D

Read moreFirst and foremost the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. Upon entering the restaurant, my husband was not greeted in a friendly manner when he asked what the wait time would be. He then proceeded to tell the server his name to ensure she wrote his name down and was handed a buzzer. Now to state the obvious, we are an African American family and were the only ones in the ENTIRE estabilishment! While walking to the car with his buzzer, customers walking to their car continuously looked over their shoulders as if he/we didn’t belong here. To take the cake when standing my our vehicle so the car next to us could move; white hummer plate RSL 7284 rudely stated at us when we asked if they had enough room to get in ( we drive a suburban ltz) the guy rudely stated and they even parked crooked as he hit my driver side mirror and slammed his door. Absolutely ridiculous behavior exhibited by this establishment and the customers they service! I feared for my family’s safety from the customers and staff which is why we didn’t stay to eat and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place as well as file a police report for the...
