This was the only Pizza place that we had not tried in Evans. Mellow Mushroom, Pizza Joint were just awesome. So, decided to try this place next to Home Depot.
We were seated very promptly. The server came over almost immediately and the order was also taken in no time. This could have been perhaps a good thing or bad thing only later we realized.
We ordered the destroyer and an order of 6 garlic and herb baked wings.
The wings came first and the pizza was literally right behind it. Felt the food came too quickly. The first bite in to the wing and three of us (me and my 2 daughters) had the exact same reaction - OMG salty beyond comfort, we were hungry so it was hard to throw the food out. The worst part (the crust) was over because inside it had no salt or any flavor. We left the other 3 wings despite the hunger.
Next was the pizza which all of us (including my wife) grabbed a slice. The first tell tale sign was that the pizza despite the 8 cuts had the crust still intact. The knife and fork did not work as effectively and we had to tear it apart like a wet stretchy leather. The first bite is all that we took and decided the pizza was not cooked thoroughly. Too much salt and butter overpowered the taste. We notified the server who asked us to wait for a minute. A whole 8 minutes she returned and said “we can do this again and ensure the crust is cooked” and we did not feel confident to give it another go. The server said in that case we have to pay the check for $34.90, which we paid.
The rating for the food is obvious. It was not made to our liking. The rating for service is because the manager never came to understand the issue and provide the fair resolution. The atmosphere at this point for us was sour as we were asked to pay despite leaving practically all the food at their table.
Needless to say they insured for $34.90 a guaranteed no return to...
Read moreCame here as my wife was craving pizza and our normal pizza place was absolutely packed and we did not feel like waiting 45 minutes to eat. I had been here years ago and enjoyed it, so decided we would come here. Upon entering, I was surprised that the restaurant was almost empty. Not what you want to see on a Saturday night, but I figured maybe we just got lucky.
We were immediately seated and our drink orders were taken. After a little while, we place our meal orders, which consisted of 1 large pizza, 2 children's pizzas and a Philly sub. I believe that we all were fairly disappointed once we took our first bites. My Philly sub had some very dry meat, and very little meat at that. The large pizza looked good, but tasted bland and had almost no flavor. The children's pizzas looked good, but just like my Philly, had dry meats with almost no flavor.
It definitely was not terrible, but it wasn't good either. I think this was our last time at this establishment.
All staff appeared to very young. As in probably still in high school young. Our waitress was nice, but lacked in all other area's. Had to wave her down if we needed something. Staff seemed to be more interested in cleaning for closing than anything else, which was strange because they did not close for another 2.5 hours from the time we left, but I am assuming that they were not expe5many more people to come.
To top the night off, when we received our bill, I noticed that we were charged more than the menu price for 2 different item's. I did not feel like going thru the trouble of trying to get it fixed, so we just paid, left a healthy tip, despite the lack of service and left.
It's a shame,because this place used to...
Read moreJust left the restaurant 10 minutes ago. My mothers Philly was cold and my Arnold Palmer was so watered down that you couldn’t distinguish a taste of either tea or lemonade. I drank half of it with my pizza because I knew getting a new one might take a minute or five. The bill came and I told Carlie the server that I didn’t want to pay for the drink because it wasn’t correct. She explained to me that they put ice in the tea to cool it and it must have been watered down. Um, seriously, at that point she should have taken it off without me asking. She then spoke with her Manager/Bartender. She gave me the stink eye as if I’d had eaten half of a Lobster. It took a good 10 minutes to get the modified bill. Then when that was dropped off Carlie ran away and didn’t take the card or come back to get the bill. Being in the same biz for most of my life I was perfectly fine with everything. Things happen. I then had to go tell her that I left cash and that everything was cool but she needed to make sure next time that the drink was correct because someone else may not take the situation as well as I did. Carlie proceeded to tell me, “well sir you drank half of it” and I responded with “yeah but it wasn’t correct.” She proceeded to tell me it was, “just a drink and that she hopes she never grows up to be the person I am.” A fascinating turn of events considering the fact that I saw the situation as a teaching moment since I’ve been in the biz my entire life. I’m still flabbergasted. Carlie was a lovely young lady although she failed to deal with the...
