Me and my friends went to go see afraid and as soon as the movie started only two mins in there’s a jump scare so we did screamed and a man came in the theater yelling saying “OKAY YALL NEED TO SETTLE DOWN” and what do you expect when it’s a scary movie but we were just like okay but there was then a man repeatedly coming into the theater and it annoyed us because we couldn’t really focus on the movie. My friend is 17 just like me and I have never seen her upset and it’s really surprisingly to see her like this because we wanted to enjoy a movie all together since we got turned down from 3 other places because we were 17 which we get but we really hoped to enjoy this movie but couldn’t and the staff said that they usually come in and monitor if people scream but there was not a need for a grown man to come in and yell like the way he did. This was our first and last time that we will be going and I am very upset we didn’t have a good time. This is a great movie theater to go to if you were with family like mom, aunts, and etc but if you are a group of teens I do not recommend. This could just also be a bad day that we came but hopefully no one will have to experience what we did. All my friends did state it felt weird because the people starred a lot and it was just very creepy how they were looking ever since we got there. To remind you it was like two mins and the movie was already scary lol but hopefully we get a chance to watch it I wish we did because it looks...
Read moreWorst customer service i have ever seen. They oversold the movie my family and i were trying to see on christmas day. We had bought the tickets through fandango and found that our seats were not available when we arrived. While trying to get help from an employee we were brushed off being told there were no seats anywhere, even in any other movie and that there was nothing to do. When we asked if he was a manager or if there was anyone we could talk to to help. he told us he was a manager and there was nothing he could do but refund our tickets. We told him we just wanted to see a movie, and asked if there is anything he could do for us or someone who else who could help. We had driven from thomson, a half hour drive, to see a movie on christmas day. He just kept shrugging as he was eyeing the man in a blue shirt pretending to sweep while listening to us just 10 feet away. Seeing where he was eyeing we asked if this was the manager. Upon asking he dropped the sweeping facade and told us that they didn't sell the tickets so this was not their responsibility. There was no customer service. If you go here be prepared to be treated like cattle and talked down to. This was Christmas of all days. We were given a refund and a cold shoulder. We will never be returning to...
Read moreI used to prefer Riverwatch as my go-to movie theater in the greater Augusta area, but now I am leaning more towards Evans cinema as my favorite, especially after their recent renovation. Very clean interior with kiosks to pickup your tickets purchased online, and concessions as per usual. The theater features reserved and reclining seating, which has become a common staple at most movie theaters. Recently, I have noticed that the reclining seating is more comfortable than that of Riverwatch and the theaters are generally cleaner too (including the seats). The staff is friendly albeit you can go by most of your visits and barely interact with them. The main draw to going this theater in comparison to others is it being located in the heart of Evans. The theater is right by a variety of stores, restaurants, and additional entertainment, as well as being easily accessible from Riverwatch park way, Washington Road, as well as North Belair road. Being right by 2 grocery stores is also very convenient as you can get some snacks to sneak inside as concessions over here are just about overpriced at every other theater in the USA. Tuesdays are also a great day to come here and watch a film, as tickets are half priced ($6 currently). Overall, this is a great place to enjoy...
