Reviewing only the Athens, GA location. Although the clothes are nice for mature women, and reasonably priced with a large selection, I will not shop at this location again. The employee working the floor was extremely rude on my second to last visit, however I dismissed it as maybe she’s having a bad day. The employee who rang up my sale was friendly and professional, so even better indication the other one’s rudeness is not the norm. I returned again a couple of weeks ago to look for a dress for a summer party. The rude employee was again working the floor. There was a dress on display high up that I wanted to try and I asked her if she could point me in the direction of where they were hanging. She said she would get it for me. Instead she brought me a completely different article of clothing, and said it was “similar”. It wasn’t even close. It was a very short romper, not even a dress. I said “Oh goodness, I couldn’t wear that! It’s not the same piece of clothing and that would be way too short on me!” (Side note, I’m 60 years old …. Not short shorts romper age.). Instead of looking for the dress, she said “Why would you ask me to go get this for you if you knew it was going to be too short?” When I told her I did not, indeed, ask for that article of clothing, she said “I told you it wasn’t the same as the dress. I still don’t know why you asked for it if you didn’t want it.” Extremely frustrating. I felt like I was being gaslighted by someone whose job is customer service. I am super mad because I have to give them one star but I give this store ZERO stars. The sales associate was rude. I went in with a friend that was not from Athens and she had asked if the clothing ran by style or size and the sales associate said, “Size but we do not carry plus size”….did she even ask that?? Why would she assume that my friend even needed plus size, regardless if she “thought maybe she was shopping for a family member or friend” as the RUDE manager suggested. She did not seem to even care that it was offensive. As she repeated that several times. I have never been anywhere that has had horrible customer service. As I read the above reviews about a rude blonde I can imagine who they are talking about. You lady, need to find another job because customer service is NOT it. The response my friend got WAS offensive to her and should have never been mentioned. If she had asked, “Do you carry plus size?” That would have been different. She did not because she, in fact, is NOT plus size!! The sales associate that made the comment had a smirk on her face the whole time we were all talking. “Why is it offensive if you are not plus size then?” Because there are ladies out there that are and I promise you if they had asked the same question and got that response, it would have crushed them.
