Never again! Just UGH!!!! Overpriced common food masquerading as some Asian cuisine. IT IS NOT!!! My rice was hard down in the center…I’m literally crunching when I get to the innermost part of the rice. The veggies were bland with NO SEASONING. The beef is hard and overcooked and super dry. The shrimp is OK, but they are VERY stingy with the portions. They basically piled a big bed of hard undercooked rice on the plate and then sprinkled a thin layer of some veggies shrimp and outdated beef on top of the mound of rice. I called the Asian lady over to my table and let her know that the rice was not well cooked. She literally had the nerve to try to convince me that it was the brand of rice that they use. Like because It’s brown rice. It’s supposed to be hard on the inside. Woman, I’ve been cooking rice for over 40 years! Even brown rice can/should be tender unless you just enjoy crunching on the grainiest part of it. Wouldn’t it be better to improve your service and your menu options instead of losing customers? Look at your reviews. Several people saying the same thing. Stop making excuses and improve yourselves! See this picture at 12:22 p.m., the height of the lunch time??? Teriyaki Express is empty…except for me sitting over here across from the grill. Now I know why it’s empty.

🤯 Legit 4.6⭐s . 💯% the type of little GA food gems we need. Fast courteous and packing serious flavors. **No cheating on portions. **Seriously cooked perfect and serious value. ** Balanced proteins with veggies and carbs. Most places are cheating you on balance. I would be here probably 2-3 times a week if I could. Not really a dine in, but grab the goodness and go. Thank you!

The establishment itself was cozy and had a good vibe. They were a very busy store and also had several friendly repeat customers come in that night. The staff seemed to also be friendly. It took us a while to get our order but seemed normal. The food itself was pretty good also. However, our springrolls seemed mushy instead of fresh.

Called to place an order. Was told the price, and I admit, I said “Damn!” out loud. The guy on the phone got very upset and said “Aye, watch your mouth!”. Also told me to go elsewhere, which I fully support him having the freedom to do so. I don’t think he knows that though. My 1st thought was, I’m 39 years old, a grown man. An adult never tells another adult to watch their mouths, unless he/she is ready for confrontation. But it’s the WAY he said it, that got to me. Felt the energy through the phone. So since he only knew my voice and not my face, I went up there. Acted like I was looking at the menu. He’s staring at me like..hurry up..C’mon! So I said “you’re the guy I talked to on the phone?” He said “FUCK YOU!!” with an aggression behind it, almost spit it out. I offered mutual combat, but he declined. I’m sort of glad he did because I don’t want to engage in that type of behavior. My whole purpose for the review is because I believe it’s unprofessional to respond in a manner in which he did. Yes I may have upset him for cursing but as a business, if you want to be successful, you have to put that aside and do business. I could have just had a bad day and tomorrow, came back and had them cater a large event. Well, rest assured I’ll be referring other businesses whenever anyone brings up Japanese food. SN: If you look at his response, it’s obvious I’m not lying. He’s super aggressive. Maybe he doesn’t know but, saying “Damn” in response to his high prices, isn’t cursing at him, but at the price. I’m willing to bet that he won’t be in business long. Too many other Japanese places to eat from. Although, they may be related, I’d still rather give my money to...

[Food] The food was pretty bomb. Definitely better than the other Asian takeout in this area. I think they should consider adding less sauce when they plate though. There was a pool of water/sauce in the compartments making everything soggy in the bottom. Still taste great but if you’re going to charge more than the rest I think a bit more attention to detail would go a long way.

[Cashier] The reason for my four star was the cashier. They’re the face of the establishment. As soon as I walk in I felt un welcome due to the cashier. That sets the tone for the rest of my experience at the restaurant. I understand that it’s just a student working their part time job but having an uninterested cashier is bad for the business and puts a bias opinion on the customer when they eat the food. A little hospitality will go a long way. Things like welcoming the customer. Thanking the customer for their purchase. Giving the customer instructions after the transaction is over. I was handed a receipt and then they walked away. Let me know “please wait to be called on” or “it’ll be ready in x-amount of time”. Anything that prevents the awkward transition between the transaction and wait time.

[Overall] I had a great experience and will be coming back. Look forward to giving five stars...
