We went here based on recommendations from a friend. We came in at the end of the night on a saturday, so please take that into account.

The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating as we were the type of people that had a million questions and didnt know what to order. I thanked them for putting up with all of it, and the staff could not have been more professional. A+ to them.

I ordered the pulled pork and they said it would be a few minutes until some of it was ready. I told them that was totally fine. 20 minutes later they came out and let me know that they still didn't have an ETA on when it wold be ready and that I could pick any other meat including more expensive ones if I wanted. This was very generous of them and shows a real doing more to make up for it mentality that I really respected.

I decided on pulled chicken and brisket combo which they gave me full portions on, again, going above and beyond. The chicken was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend that. Unfortunately the brisket was not as appetizing and was very dry and stiff (this could easily be because it was the end of the night, and I understand going that late wont get you the best cuts, so no points lost there). Each of the sides were very very good, surprisingly good. At our table, we got their potato salad (more of a sour cream based rather than mustard or mayo, which was a welcomed surprise), fried pickles, onion rings, Mac and Cheese and baked beans. I would order any of those sides again as all of them were very delicious. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the kids chicken tenders. I mean they are just regular tenders you get in the freezer section and for a kid, what else could you want right? I just took chance with it thinking that they might make them themselves. Again, no fault to them as it's a staple and easy item to get for kids that might be picky.

Overall I would say that I was very satisfied with the portions, quality of food and service provided here. We look forward to coming back at an earlier time hoping to get the best...

this is what 40$ worth of food gets you my grandmother and i placed an order over the phone for a plate and a pork salad i was told by the young girl on the phone to hurry and get there because they would be closing soon (over 45 mins before close) i rushed up there only to wait 20 minutes for my food (besides the point) i get home the pork is so dry and cold to the touch and i got nothing but skin and burnt brisket which isn’t cheap the mac and cheese was frozen literally solid and my grandma salad was entire pieces of lettuce (like someone just ripped a piece off an entire head of lettuce) and her pork on her salad was also extremely dry and cold neither of us even ate the food it was that bad and i didn’t receive the ranch that was suppose to be included nor did i even receive the one i paid extra for either i worked here in high school and they had such high standards this was my first time returning as a customer (5 years later) and i was extremely disappointed they are more focused on getting you out the door then ensuring you have quality food and a quality experience so not only has the quality of the food diminished so has the customer service so if you’re coming here expecting the same experience you experienced before i have very low hopes you’ll...

So I am having to rate this one star simply because big shanty smoke house was closed today. Now I wish I would have waited till they opened. When I called in my order at 12:23pm I was told that it would be ready by 1:00pm. I arrived at 1:10pm. The order wasn't ready. First let me start off by saying my order total was $110.78. Now for the food it's self.

First we where not give our entire order. Second the brisket was so dry that it was almost like beef jerkey. Third the Brunswick stew tasted like straight pepper and that's the only thing you taste. Forth the slaw was just not good at all Now I called the store and informed them that they left items off my order and then I asked if there brisket is usually this dry. The response I got was "not usually this early during the day, but yes it gets dry towards the end if the day." She said "would you like me to put in an order for your missing items?" I told her no. It's pouring down rain and they where 20 minutes away. NO I didn't want to go back and pick it up. I would like to have really took the entire order back. However I figured I would simply right thus review. I also figure that they would offer a partial refund. But that didn't happen. Either. Oh well won't...
