Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Germantown

I hadn't been to a Perkins Restaurant in years. I had a 12:15 doctors appointment at Campbell's Clinic and I left about about an hour and I was getting Hangry. I noticed the Perkins Restaurant next door and it seemed to a perfect plan since it would give enough time to smoke a cigarette as I walked over. I was immediately greeted and seated the moment I walked in. Ice water and menus were not far behind..before I even look at the menus, I asked the waitress if they were still serving breakfast since it was 1:30 pm, and she cheerfully answered that I could get it anytime form open till closing I have just ones more question for before she left. Do y'all have a senior's menu, and she said sure do and she came over and turn the menu page right to it and I saw you exactly whated. I'll have the eggs Benedict in the shredded hash browns. She she asked if I would like a bowl of fruit or a muffin with that. It took me a few moments to struggle with that difficult decision but I finally told her I'll take the cup of fruit. but before she got more than eight feet away I turned and said no I'll have the muffin. To which she said what kind? Oh, no more decisions, so I ask what kind do you have? She read off the 5 different muffins if they were serving that day, I ordered the banana nut bread muffin which was very tasty and huge, along with eggs benedict, crispy shredded hash browns. before finally leaving she said would you like coffee with that to which I answered yes please, and she brought me a whole thermos🍯.The eggs Benedict were as good I have eaten anywhere. Everything else was just as fresh, hot, and delicious. I would also like to say Kudos to my wonderful server Clara, who took such good care of me and added that finishing touch of kindness and hospitality that made my visit so enjoyable. I hope that your your supervisor takes note of this post and immediately rewards you with a raise, promotion, or at the very least a bonus, special recognition, and a trip or money that she could probably use most. Some of her fellow workers could probably come with some great ideas. Who knows Mr Manager, you should forward this review to corporate and they're possibilities that there May be a little somping, somping in for you, too. I noticed you inspecting the dining as you roamed around asking customers if everything is good. Having been an executive in the food business for over 10 years before leaving to open my own small chains of restaurants, I tend to notice things like this along with cleanliness, and you got an A+💯 Score from me, and personally I would like to thank...

Well, from the beginning starting with water. He started to be cool or I just wasn’t paying attention. Nevertheless, it started with water I believe. He’d ask us what we wanted to drink * Water* brought us two more waters. If I’m not mistaken once he pass the water. He was overreaching into my person space. I don’t believe I noticed the first time. However, he came again and asked us if we ready. We said no.. then he proceeded to move ketchup and came from behind me. What made it worse he came from behind me while i was near the wall. (In the back area) . When he could’ve simply just place it on the end usually where servers stand. Once that happened I mention it to my date. Next, he brought us our silverware. Now I find it very ironic that he passed my date silverware on the side and took the initiative to again walk over my to my side and overreach and puts it on the table… Didn't do anything, I started to ask for a new server, but I didn’t want to create a scene. After taking our orders i believe, he reached again in my personal area behind me grabbing the holder for the grape jelly, salt, pepper, etc… Mind you it wasn’t empty. At that point, I asked my friend to Avoid him doing it again. After that move he began to ask like an A**.. luckily, he asked someone else to bring out our food. Which I’m very glad because I honestly didn’t feel comfortable with him handling my food at all. In the middle of meal he ask if he could sweep the little trash under my seat.. let me remind you in the middle of my meal while I’m cutting into my pancakes with a mouth full of food. Not the end, and not towards the ending like most servers. Which I didn’t understand because it was a total of 10 tables. 5 of those were not even occupied.. I looked around noticed that the tables behind me were barely clean.. Nevertheless, he sweeps under my foot, (I did move my foot before he began sweeping) as he is sweeping under my foot he hits my foot with the broom. Now, I’ve been sweeping at restaurants, homes, jobs, etc. practically, most of my life and I know when I hit someone’s foot. And even if I did I have the manners to say “excuse me “ or “I’m sorry” which he didn’t. Flat out disrespectful. I was mature through the whole entire incident. I could’ve cause a scene back there because where I’m from that’s a high level of disrespect. Lucky for him I’m not the same person I use to be, but next time hopefully it’s no next time. It may not be someone like me. It’s actually more to the story. But I come there all the time , so I will not 1 start this review because of one...

Went to Perkins Germantown this morning . Had egg omelet with cheese . Hash browns and French toast . The omelet was so tiny it had very little cheese on it and the hash browns tasted strange.I could look at the hash browns and tell it was dry and not fresh . Makes me wonder if they use the left over from other people’s plate. I told the waitress to take the hash browns off my bill. I don’t not want to replace it they did offer but it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Funny how they ask you at the check out if you enjoyed your meal and I said no they say oh, sorry to hear that . I complained to the manager about both the egg omelet and the nasty hash browns and he said sorry to hear that . The only thing that tasted half way good was the French toast . They only took one item off. The meal was nasty and they should have only charged me for the French toast and coffee. It was $10.00 for a nasty breakfast . No more breakfast there for me .they really didn’t seem to care rather I was a happy...
