I Stopped by this evening for a burger recieved my order fairly quickly. Staff member at the drive thru was pleasant. I opted for a shake to go with my meal. I received a half empty cup with a thin and runny milk shake in it. Pulled to the front of the restaurant and went in after waiting for the uber eats driver to complete his pick up. I was completely ignored by the young woman manning the counter. She was very careful to not make eye contact but eventually the other young woman working the drive thru came over to ask what I needed. I asked for the rest of my shake and was told she would take care of that. This is where I screwed up. I should have tried it right then and there, but I didn't. I said thank you and went back to my car. Before I was able to eat anything I got a phone call so I left for home. Just after crossing the bridge I discovered that the other half of my milkshake was apparently topped off with water. So I received a cup of pink watery slime. If it wasn't for the bridge toll I would have turned around and gone back. So I attempted to call the store but the phone number in google and on the Carl's jr website both dont work. I do plan on returning next time I am in the harbor to express my displeasure. But will never give them my...
Read moreWhile Carl's Jr isn't as good as Hardy's it is about the best fast food hamburger joint in the area, competing with many fast casual hamburger joints.
It's a step above Wendy's and much better than Burger King and Jack-in-the-box. All of which taste better than the other fast food place with golden arches.
Came during dinner and it was fast, we didn't get pulled, the special request burgers were correctly made, tasted good and hot.
The only complaint is the over $5 for the shake that was tiny, maybe 8 or 10 ounces and not frozen completely, but unlike McD's who almost always claim that the shake machine is broken, at least it was available.
Including tax it came to $25.33 for a double Famous Star, a double cheeseburger, a large tea and the tiny shake; no combo meals. While outrageously expensive, it is very competitively priced. A recent visit to Habit Burger Grill was $21.13 for a Double Char Burger, a Single Char Burger, a medium tea and a water. Habit's patties are close in size to Carle's Double Cheeseburger. Add in $5+ for a shake, and probable 50 cents more for a large tea puts Habit at about $27 with less meat, less flavor and taking 5x times as...
Read moreWhomever owns this location should be ashamed of themselves. This location consistently and constantly does not honor promos seen within the app. Like right now there is a holiday promo each and every day that this location will not honor. I’ve tried for two days now and it’s not some tech error. Any other location in the app honors them and I've tried and proven it. If you are not going to honor your own promotions, then can you please stop texting me about useless promotions that I can’t redeem? I’ll spend my money elsewhere until this ownership group stops being greedy. It’s 100% the ownership acting like they can charge what they want because it’s Gig Harbor. You’re losing so much business and credibility because of it. They also don’t have scanners so they can say that they can’t use any promo codes in store or at the drive thru. Like really you can’t get a scanner at a marquis location like Gig Harbor with an upstairs?? Greedy and price gouging is an understatement and shame on you. It’s also sad cause their food and employees are both...
