For starters, we ordered a few spring rolls to-go online around 5:25 pm with a pick up time of 6:15 pm that same evening. The online process is easy enough, pick what you want, select it for pick up now or later, pay for it and done. At 5:45 pm we received the email and text stating our food was ready- a full half hour before it was supposed to be picked up.
We ordered spring rolls.... which are wrapped in rice paper.... which gets very rubbery if not eaten right when it's made- and true to form, after sitting on the counter, conveniently packaged in a brown paper bag for a half hour, they were very chewy to say the least.
On top of sitting on that counter for a half hour (read that as ‘not being refrigerated’) one of the rolls was wrong completely. We had ordered a lemongrass beef roll, a chicken roll, and a BBQ pork roll. We got the beef and the chicken… but instead of BBQ pork, there was a shrimp roll. We live across the bridge and were picking this up for dinner at home, so of course we didn’t check to ensure a correct order until we were home.
Finally, the bag was not marked with my name or a receipt with my name, or anything that identified it as my order. The guy behind the counter did not ask for my name either. He just said, ‘oh, you are the online order… it’s over there’ and sure enough, there it was. Did I mention there were rice paper wrapped spring rolls in there…. for a half hour… not refrigerated… AND it was a substitute/wrong order with no notice and no receipt?
Now for the worst part: I had been eyeballing this place for a while, when I suddenly got this overwhelming desire for peanut sauce. Normally I make my own when I do Buddha bowls, but I really wanted to try this place and knew they would have peanut sauce, so I figured I would give it a try. Don’t do it. Just don’t. It’s not bad, but it’s also not really good either. On the upside, they gave us plenty of it and the rolls were absolutely stuffed with ingredients. So at least they don’t skimp on portions.
TL:DR We ordered fresh rice paper wrapped spring rolls online for a later pickup time. Anyone could have walked in and picked up our order since they never asked for a name. The food was sitting on a counter, unrefrigerated for a half an hour, as they made it immediately instead of just before it was supposed to be picked up. The order was wrong. The peanut sauce was sad. We probably will not be going back after reading the other online reviews. Proceed with caution and realistic...
Read moreI walked in tonight to order food and had to use a computer screen to order. When I got home my chicken fresh rolls literally had barely any chicken in them. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund and nobody will answer the phone. I go to the Tacoma location and always get big chunks of chicken in the fresh rolls. See photos, I would Not recommend coming here. My wife ordered tofu fresh rolls and got huge chunks of tofu. It's embarrassing to watch a small business restaurant raise their prices and then give you nothing in your fresh roll. Business owner - this has happened to me twice ordering from your place. I want a refund and will not come back unless the quality and amount of food changes....
Read moreMan has this place gone downhill….. Ordered 3 Shrimp spring roll, got dried out pork (paid for shrimp) on spring roll that was falling apart due to way too much lettuce. The two Vietnamese sandwiches (also dried out bbq pork ) had hardly any pickled veges on it at all. There were two containers of sauce next to my bag, assumed they were mine, put them in the bag and dude actually stuck his hand in my bag and pulled out the two sauces saying I only get three and they are in the bag (lol couldn’t believe it) Spent $54.00 for a real sketchy lunch. I will NEVER go back to the sauce hoarders lol. The Vietnamese joint across from GH Fred Meyer is awesome, why didn’t I just drive...
