Davenport Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Gig Harbor

I’m sad to say that this experience was one that has completely turned me off from coming here in the future. The atmosphere was off, maybe the best way would be described as the workers not really being present? The workers were off into space thinking about other things which showed in their quality control standards. I not only got cold drip with my splash of macadamia milk, but when I asked for them to fix it the workers were clearly thinking of other things with a, “yea sure no problem.” Without a sorry throughout the interaction of the fix. It has me wondering if maybe the coffee wasn’t on the burner, either way the brew tasted burnt which was a surprise. Then once my husband got his latte, same quality control issue, a steamed latte that wasn’t steamed…it was barely warm..it draws a concern for me because that could make someone sick if that person were to have a very sensitive stomach but luckily he didn’t have any issues. Paying full price for drinks should be given with quality control service, some light welcoming attitude I find to always be a plus but these two things were...

I had my first experience with oat milk coffee here. OH MY GOODNESS. I am hooked for life. I won't drink coffee any other way now. So smooth and creamy and frothy. I've been getting a caramel macchiato with oat milk and it is so, so heavenly. I've been getting one at least once a week since they opened. I also have to mention how much I enjoyed their lemon raspberry scones, waffles, and sausage pepper jack burrito. On top of the great coffee and food, they have turned the building into a little sanctuary of beautiful and simple decorations and furniture. Harbor Greens has done an outstanding job. So glad we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor now. I highly recommend Davenport. I am so sad I will be moving to Tacoma this weekend because I won't be as close. But I'm hoping to find an excuse to stop by here on the weekends as often as possible. OR. Harbor Greens. If you're reading this... The cappuccino was smooth, light, and had a perfect frothy top. Served hot. They have a very typical coffee menu but seem to put more care into the ingredients and production, so you can expect a higher quality product to Starbucks at a comparable price. They offer some dining options as well. Mostly baked goods, which appear appetizing. They also offer hot foods but I didn't look very closely. From what I could tell they only offer two vegetarian food options- a breakfast burrito and a vegetable hummus plate. I settled on the burrito which was pretty delicious. Overall a good experience. Kind professional staff, good coffee, and a comfortable rustic interior. The only reason I docked a singe star was the two hour time limit they place on the WIFI. Not really a big deal, but good to know if you plan on getting work done while there. Outlets are scare as well. Definitely a good place to visit, but come at a slow period if you want to find a table...
